3 runs on 10 hits = no bueno. Luckily the Doyers were even worse. And all 3 runs on one HR. They stranded enough runners, I thought I was watching Gilligan's Island. As usual, pitching kept them in the race. DBs 1.5 clear of Colorado now. Still behind in the WC race. It's beginning to look like the DBs win the division, or they don't make the playoffs.

Divisional title is clearest path, yes, but only one game from top WC spot, 1/2 game from second spot

St. Louis has a pretty easy 12 game stretch, but close against LA, ATL, SF, MIL and Cubs
Milwaukee is an eary schedule, with 6 vs Cubs, 3 against Stl, rest against teams out of it.

I found out that the Mercury playoff game, which is not on ESPN2 tonight (and I don't subscribe to ESPNEWS which is carrying it) is online at ESPN3.

It is halftime so that's where I'll be for the rest of the game, then I'll turn my attention back to the D-backs.

Back from watching the Mercury demolish Seattle by 20 points.

I see that the D-backs haven't scored since our first two batters of the game. 2-2 in the 8th.

Are they working on any strategy to score more than in one sequence early in each game, with rare exceptions?
