Fernando Rodney has arrived at winter meetings and will meet with several teams. Recovered after rough April with six great months in 2017.

Steve Gilbert Retweeted Bob Nightengale

#Dbacks GM Mike Hazen said yesterday he had no reason to believe he was going to deal Corbin, but he also intimated that they might have to get "creative" in order to add to team. Corbin expected to make $8.3 mill via arb according to @mlbtraderumors

D-backs, twins and rangers are among teams considering Fernando Rodney. He’s at the meetings and things are starting to heat up. TR Sullivan mentioned 1st

Sorry just checking in... I realize that the chances of keeping JD were already almost nil,,, but with the Giants not winning the GCS sweepstakes, it seems like a certainty that JD will wind up in San Fran....

Not terribly surprising, but anyone have a brighter outlook on this? :) Thanks

Unfortunately, no. The D-backs MVP last season will be gone.

Right now, it seems that Boston is favored, especially with the Yankees adding another league leading HR hitter.

GMs would be shocked if d-backs could unload greinke contract without offsetting much of it. Mike Hazen deserves to repeat as exec of year if he does.

Sources: Talk between #Rangers and #DBacks on Greinke is real but complex on several fronts. Other clubs also inquiring on Greinke. AZ would need to have another SP in place if it moves Greinke (or Corbin). Question of whether #DBacks would take Choo, play him in LF vs. RHPs.
I heard Nightengale say TEX not going down because TEX asking for money + take Choo and no prospects (they don’t have much in farm anyways) included.

While losing Greinke would kind of suck...his albatross contract is holding the team back from making any moves. He pretty much has to be unloaded...somehow, someway.
