BTW - in case you missed it, Martin Prado is hitting over .400 right now.

Am I the only one that thinks they look about 10x more confident on the road than they do at home?

This team is terrible and sacrificed a lot for a run at the playoffs, which means it's only going to get worse from here

I have no faith in the front office but I would try and trade Greinke and Miller.

Do you know how much of Greinke's contract the Diamondbacks would have to eat to trade him?

Nobody in this FO has the vision or appreciation of prospects to start a mini-rebuild. Hopefully they can flip Ziegler for something at the deadline.

I have been following baseball for 60 years. I have expressed my opinion about the "knowledgeable" fans from places like St. Louis. But I guess they have a point when we have to rely on the prompts from the lighted boards to tell when when to cheer. It is downright embarrassing. Baseball is a complex game, but at the same time, it is a simple game. Jeez.

I know they would but I would seriously hope they can get rid of Miller if he shows he can't throw strikes and get guys out. I would have rather see what Blair could have done here and seeing how Swanson has already been promoted to double-a makes me sick, I know Ahmed plays great defense but his bat is hurting this weak offense and they need to generate more runs. The division is not strong and it's early in the season, but this road trip is big. I think they need to get 6 wins and the guys should be feeling better.

That call was pathetic... Why use replay at all??
Regardless, this team remains so damn flawed. I seriously believe Tomas needs to go. Having to play Owings every day due to AJ's injury hurts. Peralta is far too inconsistent. Ahmed just kills us at the plate. And Goldy... WTF??? Seriously, WTF???
And then our pitching... Corbin pitched well enough last night. Not great, but good enough. And our pen blows up. [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35]

Well, we know Goldy's problem.

AJ's injury was the death blow for the season.

Hate to say it too, but Pollack being out changes everything for this team. Pretty amazing that 1 guy can do that to a team

I was out of town and did not see the game (and forgot to record it). However, I went on MLB.com and saw it. It looks like it hit only the knob of the bat, but if it did hit him, it would have been on his right wrist/hand. Yet he rubs his left elbow all the way down the baseline even though the ball never went near his left elbow. Terrible acting. That alone would have been enough for me to overturn the call.:bang:

The vibration could have been fairly painful in his left arm. Not saying he was not acting, but that was something that I considered.
It looked like the ball brushed his right wrist guard, much like a pitch getting a piece of the uni fabric, but it was hard to tell. I just think they didn't have the stones to overturn the call.

As much as I hate to say it, the various replays right after the incident did show that the ball brushed him so slightly before hitting the knob of the bat.

That should be our biggest problem.

Dbacks need a win here to stop this losing streak. Hopefully Ruby can have an outing like he did last time. Need some run support though
