Bobby Hurley said Joson Sanon experienced back tightness early in the game. He said when Sanon tried to warm up after halftime, Sanon said he couldn’t go for the second half. Hurley said Sanon will be reevaluated to confirm he is healthy before ASU’s game against GCU.

This team has a lot of talent. Sanon's offense, Jayden Quaintance's imposing defensive skills, etc. - ASU looks completely different than it did in the Duke exhibition. GCU was missing former Sun Devil Duke Brennan who would have helped against ASU's bigs, and Grant-Foster was playing his first game, but it was still an impressive outing for the Sun Devils. This team can shoot, and when was the last time we could say that? I think it's quite possible that we will see Sanon regularly at Footprint Center in future years.
