I am pretty disgusted with the play of this team. As someone else mentioned, we are more talented than some of these teams and yet we can not execute. We have trouble with the most simple plays. It's pretty painful watching ASU and the Cardinals try and one-up each other in stupidity every week.

My question: Are there really any good options for head coach next year?

I hear Mike Leach is looking for a job.

Dennis Erickson will be the coach next year regardless how the season goes. However, some of his assistants may jump ship if they think it's sinking. I can see Bray banging the phones at season's end for a more secure job and bigger paycheck.

Exactly. So to compound the fat that recruiting will be hard enough; "Do you want to go to ASU? Ericksons in his last year, he won't be around"; ASU may be looking to scramble to fill Assistant Coaching vacancies.

So even if all the talent we all see on this roster does finally congeal next year and put together a 10+ win season, it may be hard to sustain because they'll likely be very behind in recruiting. I'd almost think you'd have to extend Erickson mid season if things were going well in order to make sure recruiting wasn't a total nightmare.
