I only hang around the Cards forum as i'm a Cubbie and Maple Leaf fan but i wondered if the Cards are now the most popular franchise in town now, just going by attendance and traffic on this site?
While I agree with this, if the Cards give this town something to believe in they will rule it.Suns are easily the most popular team in town.
At this posting, I would say Dbacks and Cards are tied for second.
Coyotes are a distant fourth.

D backs have not even sold out their first 2 playoff games last I heard.

I don't know if this town can ever overtake the Suns as its team.
I think so. I think that Arizona is more inclined to be football fanatics. I guess the only way that we can find out is if, and when, the Cards become a consistant performer.
I disagree. The NFL dominates ANY city, including this one. There are just more football fans than baseball or basketball fans, and it's not even close. However, there's no doubt that, overall, the Suns have the most undivided loyalty in the city.
If the Cards ever string two playoff seasons together, every other sport in the valley will start to struggle to get the attention they were used to.

I agree 100%.
This town is just waiting for the Cardinals to finally get good. The minute they have success the other sports will play second fiddle.
People can't wait for football season to start around here. Unfortunetly for the last decade the season has been over only a few weeks into it.
but the suns will always be #1 unless sarver alienates the fans. the suns have been here the longest, have built loyalties with all ages, have consistently been winners. and have been close to titles, but have fallen just short. they're also homegrown.
