2-3 Arizona travels to the Rose Bowl to face 3-1 UCLA.

Does the season get any better for the kitties?

Well I am hoping that the offense can do something or else this one will be ugly. If the defense isn't stuck with horrible field position all game they should be able to limit UCLA's offense greatly.

This game is not likely to be pretty. You know the Bruins have had this game circled on their calendar for the better part of a year.

Nice cheap shot on Olson. I guess if you can't compete against teams you might as well try to injure them?

I missed it. But if it was a cheap shot to call out UA as the only team that's ever done something like that is ludicrous. Remember ASU/USC last year?

The hit on Leinart was high last year, this one was below the knee and about 3 full seconds after he released the ball.

Intent to injure is intent to injure. And that is different than cheap.

Again, I haven't seen the play, but I've read some stuff that says the guy just fell into Olson. That said, how can you say "intent to injure"? Did the guy from Pittsburgh mean to hurt Palmer last year in the playoffs? No, it just happened as he fell into Palmer in exactly the wrong place.

And if I remember Leinart got a concussion on that hit last year against ASU, which is an injury, right?

Anyhow, the "Duel in the Desert" is going to be a real doozy this year.

"We need to just keep huffing and puffing and then one of these days we will knock the door down," Arizona coach Mike Stoops said. Wow....

Leinart Suffered a Concussion but he played the rest of the game. WOW. It must of been real bad if he could of played the rest of the game. WOW.

They said Leinart got hurt bad to HYPE him for when USC won that game. Olson was taken out on a cart. 2 totally different situations.

I never thought I'd see an oline playing worse than the Cardinals. But, man, that line, in particular the left side, is amazingly bad. There were two consecutive plays where they blocked NOBODY, looking to the inside, and left guys come free to just lay the wood on Tuitama. Honestly, I wondered if Tuitama had impregnated their sisters, or something.

ASU vs UofA in November should be the ugliest game ever played if the 2 teams keep playing like they do. Maybe at halftime the 2 teams can switch uniforms and see who plays worse.

I wish you are right....but is ASU really going to buy out Koetter?? How much would it cost to buy him out??
The Norm Chow-ASU rumor is getting some legs, I know the boosters are pissed about the results and Koetter's mediocre personality certainly isn't helping matters. And like all new AD's you know Lisa Love is going to want to put her stamp on the program. Of course it's going to take a booster cutting a big check for that to happen which is very possible.

Mike Canales, Arizona's offensive coordinator is 99.9% getting his pink slip after this year (if not sooner) and Mike Stoops may join him if they can round up the money. Like Koetter, Stoops results are unacceptable and his personality especially on the field again is helping put the nail in his coffin. Regardles, Stoops won't last past 2007 because no OC worth a crap is going to want to replace Canales under a maniac coach on the hot seat therefore the offense still won't improve enough to save his job.

And don't even get me started on Denny Green.

I'm still just totally befuddled they gave him that huge contract extension. Did they really think teams around the country were lying in wait to steal him away??

Dumb move by ASU.....Lisa Love really has to share a large part of the blame here.......Koetter coaches "fat".

You're befuddled? Mike Stoops also got a contract extension (albeit only one year) by going 3-8...twice.

Didn't know that.....I'm one of those ASU fans that doesn't rabidly hate the UA. I have a lot of friends that went there.
