Isn't Bryant out until January at the very earliest? No amount of motivation can accelerate recovery from an Achilles rupture.

Who the hell knows. He's already putting up jumpers in the gym. We'll see how soon he can run. One would think he'd be out until January, but he's way ahead of schedule right now.

That's right around the time when the real NBA season starts, which is when San Antonio starts winning every game.

He's announcing his decision on twitter...LOL. What a dummy.

Why does this make him a dummy? Everyone blasted LBJ the way he announce his decision.. This feels like the exact opposite way.. No fan fare, no hoopla.. Just the announcement..

It's kind of juvenile. "I'll tweet my decision."

There is all kinds of hoopla. Cryptically saying the decision is made and will be announced on twitter sometime this weekend only fuels the fire.

I really want him to make it and move on so the Lakers can start making some moves instead of waiting on him.

Most players do announce where they sign via Twitter....when Deron resigned with Brooklyn he did it via Twitter. When Wade and Bosh signed with Miami, I believe they first told Chris Broussard or someone and then posted on Twitter.

It makes sense too. Twitter is something they use to tweet about everything in their life so why wouldn't they tweet where their signing with on Twitter?

Kevin Durant announced his extension on Twitter. Is he a dummy like Howard?

I don't care for D12, but announcing his decision via Twitter doesn't phase me one way or the other.

Looks like no Howard for the Warriors which I'm glad about. they moved Biedrins and Jefferson to Utah and then used the caproom to sign Iguodala.

I think it is more the "decision is made, It will be announced on Twitter sometime soon" and then wait, wait, wait.

Announcing things via twitter is fine. Announcing that it will be announced by twitter? Juvenile. Just attention clowning.

Not so fast. The Warriors just got immensely more interesting for Dwight, and the S&T with the Lakers makes a lot more sense. They can afford to give up Klay/Barnes (or both) and dump Bogut. the Lakers would love that from a cap perspective. Howard would love having Curry and Iggy (he's close with Iggy) with Lee as well.

Go Dwight, Go!

Yep. I think Bogut and Thompson are enough together to make the S&T work. Thompson would be a great young piece to add for the Lakers and they have a year with Bogut to see if they want to keep him or not. Thompson is a DAntoni type of player (shooter who can run).

Curry
Iggy
Barnes
Lee
Howard

Pretty interesting potential starting lineup. Funny, as I look at that lineup, its only weakness to me is front court offense. But I bet that is not how Howard sees it. He sees himself as a huge offensive threat.

Bay Area media is speculating it means no Howard. No idea, I don't really want him although in the right scenario I'd take him.

Obviously Bogut is injury prone but with Dwight's back not obvious he's not either. Main thing is chemistry, Warriors are not a me first team, Howard might change that.

RealGm is reporting that they are still trying to work a s&t with the Lakers.

There are other ways too. Dallas and Atlanta both would likely take Bogut and Barnes or Thompson off GS's hands if they are not getting Dwight anyway. If Dwight wants GS and they want him, he can get there, with or without the Laker's help.

I'd give up Barnes. I think you really want Thompson and Curry shooting.

Anybody else surprised Utah was willing to take on that much salary next season ($24 million) for two first-round and two second round draft picks? I guess they are hoping Curry and/or possibly Howard struggled to stay healthy?

Not surprised. Utah is going to tank and next summer they'll have cap space and multiple first round picks. I wish the Suns could have done it. They (Utah) may even be able to unload one or two of those expiring's for more assets at the deadline. If they were just planning to sign fillers for the season anyway, they get something in return this way.

Howard has picked the Rockets and will sign with Houston. This according to both ESPN and CNN SI.

Yes, I was surprised, but maybe they want Bogut long-term.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏ @ WojYahooNBA 3m Only two teams -- Houston and Los Angeles -- have yet to be notified of Howard's decision.

Yes, they're all using the same premature ejaculation as their source.

Maybe, but at this point I dont see him going anywhere else. Him returning to play under D'Antoni and what remains of the elderly Lakers never seemed like a real possibility to me. And despite what donald is dreaming, I think the Iggy signing effectively ended Golden State's pursuit. They made their big play to clear space and then immediately spent it elsewhere, you'd think if Dwight were still in their thoughts they would have held off on an Iggy signing until they knew where they stood.
