Gee!, you have some of those events a little wrong.

First off, it was promoting a site, not trying to steal members. I post on several boards, that I have found out about by being on this board. Does that make whoever told me about this a traitor?

Chap didn't come around because of a fallout, not because of the new site. Seems like a good reason.

And quite frankly, I state you aren't wanted here. I stand by that. No one with an attitude like yours has EVER been wanted on this board, I don't see why it should change just because you post on the cards forum.



Also, loyalty is devotion to someone. You don't attack another person because you are loyal. That doesn't make any sense. I can understand protecting something due to loyalty, but not attacking. Also, Chap never crept back looking for love. He didn't even announce a return. He simply posted his thoughts like he always has.

Well then, lets do each other a favor.

Speak your thoughts with those who share them, or at the very least in another forum than the Phx Suns. We really don't need/want this here. There are several other places this can be discussed, but it doesn't belong here. I might even join in if a discussion gets started else where.

Also, feel free to share thoughts on the Suns here, but do not attack our members. You also went after Slin, so it isn't just your contempt for Chap. It may fly on the Cards board, but it is defintely looked down upon here.

For what it's worth, Gee, I was invited to join purplepalace, and there was absolutely nothing in the invitation -- nor in the way that the invitation was extended -- that implied I should leave this board.

Again, why should I care? If your feeble mind thinks these things actually mean something to me, that's your own problem. The main problem I had was with a mod here (not the Suns mod), yes--but we have since reconciled, at least enough that we aren't on unfriendly terms anymore.

I'm not going to condone what went on the other night. Ron Artest and Stephen Jackson were out of line, certainly. I do have a question though: How long are the fans suspended for?

It seems like the people who start a fight should be prepared to finish it. And, just as a sidenote, if you think you are prepared to fight Ron Artest, you are not very intelligent. Still, let's get some facts straight:

Artest fouled Wallace and it was questionable whether it really was unquestionably hard. After that, he was not involved in any fighting. Some say he took the high road, not being provoked into fighting the Pistons. Others say he took the cocky road, laying on the table, obviously mocking the situation. Both are probably right.

Then a fan, obviously upset that his team was losing. I would be too. But since when does that give you the right to throw beer at somebody? Paying 30 dollars does not give you the right to throw objects at somebody, even if the guy is an athlete who plays tough basketball and raps on the side.

And where did all of those fans get off throwing ice, beer, soda, and even chairs at Jermaine O'neal? I almost wish the police hadn't been able to get a firm hold of Jermaine O'neal. It would've been funny to see 20 guys get beat up even more for throwing stuff at somebody for no real reason.

Again, I want to say that I'm not condoning the players' actions. The way I see it, though, virtually everyone who wasn't involved with the altercation are going to side with the fans. They can do whatever they want as far as suspensions, and I can't really argue with that. But, in addition, I think the NBA should identify each and every fan involved in the altercation and see to it that they are prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Every single fan who thought the ticket they bought were free-passes to assault big black dudes should be punished. All I know is, where I'm from, if somebody throws something at you, you're allowed, even expected to retaliate. And Ron Artest wasn't my neighbor.

This is kind of an ironic thread. The parallels are intriguing!

In Detroit, fans thought they would be protected by the police, the culture of the NBA, and the entitlement they get from buying a ticket. On this board, we see people arguing, feeling a sense of entitlement and protection by being a fan and by being behind a computer screen.

In Detroit, Ron Artest, Ben Wallace, Jermaine O'neal, Stephen Jackson and others acted childishly, not thinking about the consequences of their actions and forgetting all inhibitions. Here, we act childishly, getting in verbal fights for no good reason.

In Detroit, a fight ensued when it would've been more prudent to take the high road. Here? Ditto.

I may not be the one to judge, but it seems hypocritical to criticize a group of people for starting a childish quarrel, and in the process, starting your own. Obviously, there's a difference between throwing fists and typing words, but it's fundimentally similar.

Dude, you need some help. Many people post on multiple boards. We never claimed we were going to explode and have thousands of members. It was an alternative, nothing more, definitely not a replacement. Many of us have moved on--I guess some people sadly just can't forget it.

personally i am glad to have chaplin back. chaplin didnt leave this board with any hard feeling and he has been a true fan of the suns all of his time here. it is always nice to have more true fans here. people who have followed this team and been supportive all the time and in that chaplin has never changed.


i guess that is the hard part about the suns doing so well this season all the bandwagan fans come out of the woodwork.
