Todays game makes this article prophetic.

It's not prophetic IMO because everyone convieniently forgets that making an analogy to the Vikes with us requires that we have a Moss like clone.

We don't.

We have Jake Reed and Chris Carter or maybe two Chris Carters but no Randy Moss.

Without our version of Moss we aren't going to light anyone up on a consistent basis.

Moss is big like Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald may have better hands but in a foot race Moss could run backwards and win.

I haven't even gotten into our RB situation or our O line.

You put all that in place and then bag on our QB's for not lighting it up.

Sorry to disagree but whether or not we have three "Chris Carters" is irrelevant if the QB underthrows open WRs, fumbles, is lost on the field of play, etc. If we had Randy Moss himself out there what would that accomplish? We could have every other piece in place but w/o a QB we'd have a Corvette w/o a battery. The state of this year/s NFL is such that with a competent journeyman we'd have been 7-4 not 4-7,even w/o all those other pieces you write of in place. That's why next year's team will be led by a journeyman because obviously Green doesn't care WHO it is that leads the team.

We have a YUGO IMO.

Without the tires.

When you are worried Emmitt will get hurt and platooning Olinemen then Houston we have a problem.

Everyone focuses on the open WR missed and yes King did miss them and Josh does too and so do other QB's what they fail to focus on is how many time the turtles get open and how long it takes.

King looked exactly like Josh after that whirling derby he had last week, wonder why? cause I don't.

He's staring at the same none open WR most of the time.

As I said, I disagree. You and I are watching two different games. Have there been coverage sacks? you bet, but when you can't hold on to the ball, or hit open wideouts when you have all the time in the world, the fix has to start there. You don't really believe if we had someone like randy Moss either of these guys would utilize him do you?

Yes I do believe Josh would let it fly then because throwing to a guy streaking down the sideline you don't need much of a cushion to try it isn't as dangerous as throwing to Fitz running double covered over the middle of the field.

You may be right it's hard to say without watching the tapes the coaches do.

I am sure Josh had his share of just holding on the ball when he shouldn't have and that's why I think he should at most be a backup right now but with our current QB roster he's the best option and drafting Fitz is what caused Josh to be that best option.

But that doesn't mean that the light-bulbs couldn't suddenly be switched on for Josh. Or that Shaun won't shake the rust off and get in synch with his receivers.

What do we know?

- We know that King and his receivers were out of synch (not just throwing to wrong spots but also hesitating a split second so the ball arrived late and gave defenders time to break on the ball).

- We've seen King on occasion throw lasers that are right on the money.

- But a couple of times on long patterns, as the receiver broke free, he failed to put enough air under the ball and overthrew him.

It's not rust. King has never been an accurate passer. Yes, he can make throws right on target but when he misses he misses big. Go to any Bucs board and see what they think of him. For the last few years they've been ragging on King for consistantly throwing either in the dirt or 15 feet above the recievers head.
