Great news! I look forward to this board having some life breathed back in. I'm not saying this site sucks (I still lurk quite a bit), but the loss of articles written by posters has hurt the site significantly.

I never really bothered with the front page articles, mostly just forum items for me. The only falloff in my eyes was people leaving and not enough new blood coming in.

Yeah, I enjoyed writing articles. Would love to get back into that.

We are definitely going to try to push all the college sports forums and get more activity out of them. We also have an idea to start up a prep section for all the high school kids/parents to talk about the kids/teams. We have a lot of ideas to get more activity out of this site and look forward on seeing how this place grows!! :head2head:

Awesome.

How about an option to pay by check, money order or such. I never did like being pushed into using PayPal.

Yea, that would be fine. Will keep everyone updated on when we start this up and make it a better setup for supporting members.

You think there is a niche for the Prep high school parents/kids coming on here and posting about their teams? I do, as I have seen it on other forums working well. There isn't anything out there in Arizona for this and I think it will flourish if we can market it right.

I don't know if other people would like this but I would love more UFC chatter esp since you guys in Arizona have one of the best gyms in the country

Sure, I think so.

Both high-end prep teams and small ones. Parents like to brag. :) I assistant coach a small prep school's girls middle and high school basketball teams and it would be fun to even talk about strategies (especially with kids who aren't so good yet playing tougher teams, when to run a junk d and such with them, etc).

Yes it will. That's my first step. There will be a few ads, but no where near what is on it now. You all will be happy with the changes I make in the beginning. Hope to have the members that haven't posted on here for awhile back posting again. We will see how it all plays out.

All excellent news. The ads kept me away from here for a while as too hard to navigate and post on ipad/iphone.

Good luck mate.

So I know I have an inside man to help with advertising the forum to your kids/parents. :)

My only fear with this is we get parents signing up for high school aspect, then trolling in the Cards/Suns/Dbacks forums because they're not fans...just something to watch out for.

So you are saying they may be SF or Dallas fans?

AWESOME!!! Congrats man. Not that I have a single complaint about how the forum was, but I do look forward to seeing how you put your mark on it

When Keebali set it up, a contributor is someone who pays for an upgraded membership, so as to get the badge and avoid ads. They also gave free contributor status to members with a very high post count.

You fall in the latter.

Both are great idea - only a few of us post there now, would love for more activity
Just a suggestion, but many articles concerning college football are posted in the Cardinals forum with the rationale that more people will see them there. Moving them to the appropriate forum would help. I am one of those scarce posters to the college forum and quite often I can hear the echo and see the tumbleweed rolling through there.

Bally’s Sports needs to go away
The first few years I donated it was an option to be recurring or not. Then, it just went to recurring. I took it once, then got it stopped.

Yea, it looks like the contributor payment was recurring. We
won't have it setup like that. It will be a one time payment for the year, and it will email you saying your time is almost up, but it will never automatically take money out unless you did it manually again.

Don't know.
Wiz is to blame.
We don't say the "Bears" word in my house.
Are you sure?
Mitch is a genius.
Jersey said she didn't.
Shane saw him at the airport and said he isn't.
Uh, huh.
Dawg said smoke em if you got em.
Nope.
Yes, as a matter of fact Housler IS hot.
