Well folks, it is our time to pick. Barring any trades, I could see the draft going very similar to what we have so far.

I know that some of these players are a stretch at this pick, however some team always screws up and selects someone much higher than expected.

If I am forgetting someone important, please feel free to let me know, or Mods feel free to add someone.

1. Houston 2-14 .535 Reggie Bush, RB, USC
2. New Orleans 3-13 .523 D'Brickshaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia
3. Tennessee 4-12 .512 Matt Leinart, QB, USC
4. New York Jets 4-12 .527 Mario Williams, DE, North Carolina St
5. Green Bay 4-12 .531 A.J. Hawk, OLB, Ohio St.
6. San Francisco(x) 4-12 .539 Vernon Davis, TE, Maryland
7. Oakland(x) 4-12 .539 Vince Young, QB, Texas
8. Buffalo 5-11 .500 Haloti Ngata, DT, Oregon
9. Detroit 5-11 .504 Michael Huff, DB, Texas
10. Arizona 5-11 .508
11. St. Louis 6-10 .484
12. Cleveland 6-10 .508
13. Baltimore 6-10 .523
14. Philadelphia 6-10 .531
15. Atlanta 8-8 .492
16. Miami 9-7 .457
17. Minnesota 9-7 .484
18. Dallas 9-7 .523
19. San Diego 9-7 .559
20. Kansas City 10-6 .504
21. New England 10-6 .508
22. Denver 13-3 .500
23. Tampa Bay 11-5 .449
24. Cincinnati 11-5 .477
25. New York Giants 11-5 .492
26. Chicago 11-5 .457
27. Carolina 11-5 .449
28. Jacksonville 12-4 .
29. Denver 13-3 .500

I decided on Cutler. Justice may be a good fit, if they think that he could play RT. He could step right in and fill the worst spot on our line from day one.

I say Tye Hill CB. Dude is super fast and can cover. Not to mention he can return punts. You can never have to many DBs.

I pick Cutler. Seems to be a perfect pick to take over in 1-2 years.

Justice makes sence also. He may be a reach at 10, I wouldnt mind a trade down to get him.

we're one pick outta the players we could use. sigh.

i chose jimmy williams. attitude aside, he's a stud.

if i was going purely bpa i'd take deangelo and hope that someone needs a rb in a year or so. i think i'm going to hate this draft unless we're surprised by the top 9. cutler does nothing for me.

I voted for Cutler but I wouldn't be disappointed in we traded down for an extra second round pick.

Cutler

ideal situation in that he doesnt have to play immediately. Good guy in Warner to learn from -- steps in and plays a few games in 07, starter in 08

If I were a GM I would have to be convinced that we could get a Whitehurst, Croyle, or Jacobs no later than the 3rd in order to pass on Cutler at this spot.

Would absolutely love Hill, Bunkley or Sims.

Tough call... glad I'm not the one making the call!

Took Justice over Cutler. He just seems tailor made for our RT spot and that just may be the position of biggest need for us. Maybe.

I took Simms, that guy is amazing and can make plays anywhere you put him. If I had a rwal choice I would trade down though and draft McNeil as RTOF (or now since Ross stinks).

He's never even played a down against NFL talent and he is already your choice for DROY?

Yes. Yes he is. :D

Reggie Bush is my early pick for OROY as well if you want to nitpick.

Can't say I'm sold on Cutler (although that's the way I voted). Unfortunately, given the way this mock plays out, he is BPA.

Cutler has to be the choice although I seriously doubt he'll be there. What would be nice is to pick up Denvers 2 picks as well. Maybe we could still find a way to get Jimmy Williams and Broderick Bunkley.

I chose Cutler. I would be mildly shocked if this happens because I think we would either take Sims or Justice.

Cutler - BPA by alot. Position of need for future of franchise.

C'mon folks Rooks take time - might as well develop a QB if you have to wait anyway.

2nd rounders have more to prove and this yrs. will be no different. He'll start at least some of the time and have success.

Cutler might have to be thrown into the fire as well, as Warner is no guarantee to last the season.

My other choice would be Justice because as some have pointed out he's not too much further off on talent than Ferguson. He's really not a reach there and RT is still a need posibly and LD is in his final yr. Don't be surprised if they go that route here.

If he's there that would be Dennis Green's pick. The only team that I think could take him is the 49ers but like I said during their pick of our mock draft they are the true wild card of this draft.

The can take Davis, any secondary help, LB (now that they lost Peterson), or even simply trade down.

BTW I picked Cutler based on what was available.
