The Panthers are hard to figure. Every starter on their defense is a guy they drafted and not one is older than 28. Yet they were awful on Defense last season. Where do you go from that situation?

So I'd say Reiff. Their starting RT is an UDFA. The rest of their oline are long time veterans.

lmao. Wow. I thought I'd be alone in suggesting CAR goes for a T in the draft. With a running QB like Cam, it makes perfect sense to me that they'd take a good outside blocker for him

but he only has 1 vote... the deception...

surprised people going DT, they are loaded at NT and DT. are we just picking the one on top? or does carolinas DT's suck? I went CB as I think they could use a solid #1#2 CB tandem.

Like I said the Panthers are hard to figure. They have Chris Gamble, 28, a first round selection and Sherrod Martin, 27, a 2nd round pick.

I guess they could trade one of them to us for Kevin Kolb and draft Stephon Gilmore or Dre Kirkpatrick. Do either of them return punts?

Isn't it funny how we always preach BPA, but when evaluating other teams, we always seem to think they will go with a need?

That's because we want all the other teams to screw up.

At #9 is where things really start getting interesting.

I put Coples, but it could be any of a half dozen or so here.

I think it would be Floyd if he's still here but he's picked, so they go D line.

Coples.

Even years later I think the Panthers miss Peppers.

Yeah, I take back my Tackle prediction. Didn't notice their pass rush from their OLB's was so weak. Ingram goes here. Coples if he can translate to a 3-4 OLB. Otherwise they have plenty of 3-4 Defensive Ends. They got something like 19-20 sacks from their DE's last season.

Their LBs were so bad that profootball-reference only lists names for two of the 4 LB positions in pfr's list of Carolina's 2011 starters.

My ignorance: I thought they ran a 4-3. That changes my thoughts on Coples to Carolina.

I thought BPA was DeCastro, so that is who I went with.

They are? They couldn't even find a starting duo they liked last year and were switching and flopping all over the place every week just to find a set. One of the worst rushing D's in the NFL and created absolutely zero pressure. Their young guys didn't show much promise for the future either.
