I was checking out a Laker board and someone quoted an LA article (not sure the source,

"If we're playing horseshoes, we're a great horseshoe team," Laker Coach Rudy Tomjanovich said. "We're getting it close, but we ain't [there]."

The Lakers were very close to their biggest victory of the season, taking a 107-94 lead on a Brian Cook jump shot with 5:50 left to play.

The Suns, however, closed the gap quickly on three-pointers for a 15-0 run to take a 109-107 lead.

How long has it been since beating the Suns would be considered the Lakers biggest victory of the season?

Maybe because even the coach thinks Lakers sucks now so beating Suns (not quite elite yet) would give them the biggest victory of the season, since Lakers won't be able to beat any of the elite teams.

It could be that the lakers have a .333 winning percentage against teams with winning records. It could also be because the Suns have the best record in the NBA.
