Goldschmidt starts off with a solo shot to the pool. He is really looking like himself again.

Escobar gives up 4 in the second but it was really not all him. There were 2 broken bat singles and a check swing double. He didn't pitch nearly as poorly as the stat sheet would success. Will be interesting to see how he recovers.

Well, that should make the decision easier for whom to bench when Peralta is back at full strength.

I hope the D-backs have been following which players have been the weakest in getting key hits -- those that are instrumental in winning games. It seems that, even when Tomas was hitting over .300, he was really not helping the team. He certainly has not been helping it with his fielding decisions.

And yes, Bert. I believe it is Jon Bon Jovi in the commercial. He looks different, but the voice hasn't changed.

Edit: Yes, that was in fact Jon Bongiovi in the DirecTV commercial.
