That was a foul on Chase but Wise got decked on a 3 and got no call and that loose ball where Harden got it and passed to Pendergraph who got fouled, Harden only got the ball by fouling McClellan he nailed him with his shoulder knocking him off the ball I couldn't believe they didn't call that.

Harden is great, better than mayo already IMHO. My one question what was up with him and Dillon why was he woofing so much at Dillon? He even elbowed him a couple of times and stuck his tongue out at him and yelled in his face. Given their age differences I doubt it's a carry over from HS or something so was there an earlier incident in the game(I missed the first half)?

Just seemed like Harden really had an issue with Dillon, which frankly worked to his advantage he got mad and torched him.

I'm assuming Harden told him something along the lines of..."this is what happens when you put a McD's AA against a guy who was offered a scholarship after Josh Pastner only saw a video highlight reel" or something along those lines. Daniel Dillon could barely hack it in the Big Sky, that he got 44 minutes in yesterday's game is embarrassing and is all that needs to be said about Arizona's recruiting as of late.

Yeah, that was weird. It seemed really out of character.

Right that's why I ask 3rd time I've seen Harden at ASU, plus in HS and I've never seen him acting like that. In HS he was the good guy who had the punk teammate in Malik Story(verballed to USC went to Oak Hill, kicked off the team now trying to find a HS team in LA to finish his senior year, USC reportely has dropped him).

Maybe Dillon did or said something I missed the first half so I don't know but it was pretty clear that Harden was going at him with a personal vendetta and just killed him.

The Westbrook and Harden matchup when UCLA plays ASU will be fun to watch, he's probably a bit too big for Westbrook but I sure wouldn't put Josh Shipp on him he's not quick enough to stay in front of harden.

Did this game matter to us, us being ASU fans?

I watched the entire ASU/UA game without once switching channels to check on the Suns.

Me too Skkorp. I hung in there even through the whole first half, which was not fun to watch if you were pulling for ASU.

I don't think we've ever seen a player quite like Harden at ASU. He's just a baller. He's not super flashy, just really efficient. He doesn't have to fly 3 feet above the rim every time he drives. Instead, he just does exactly the minimum it takes to get the ball off and in. I guess I was expecting a Byron Scott type of talent before I saw him play. But, I always enjoy watching this type of player better since my own basketball skills mandated I couldn't be too flashy.

Hrm, I thought the game was going to be on KKNT 960, but I turn it on now and its Dennis Miller. Am I completely confused or shouldn't the game be on by now?

EDIT: Oh boy, Im stupid. It says right about me 8:30 not 7:30. Stupid other states and their daylight savings always throwing me off.

This team continues to amaze me. If they keep playing the low scoring/low tempo slugfests, the Devils will continue to win most their games. The hybrid zone that Sendek runs absolutely baffles opponents. Not to mention that man-child James Harden can take over a game at any point. Him and Kevin Love are hands down the top 2 true freshman in college basketball

Top 2 in the conference, nationally you have to include Eric Gordon and Beasley.

harden is amazing, 18 and clearly better than mayo. Really wanted to see this game but it wasn't on in the Bay Area, saw the first half of Stanford, and UA but couldn't see any of this.

ASU is for real.

Sorry, got a little excited. Beasley is a freak and I haven't had the chance to watch Gordon yet

ASU plays tonight against Washington at 7pm on KTAR 620.

Harden is a game time decision tonight.

Get to watch UA but not ASU tonight in Phoenix. Some day that will change, I hope.

HUGE game tonight for the Devils. HUGE

I don't see us beating Washington St, especially without Harden, so we need tonights game. Splitting every series is the goal

Erg, ASU losses by one to WSU and Harden had a good chance at the end of the game, he may of been fouled. Bummer, very close for ASU.

Idea to build revenue for local schools. Televised PPV featuring a 1 on 1 game to eleven between Kirk Walters and Eric Boateng. Would probably take a couple hours due to countless missed free throws and traveling calls, but could take the place of comedy shows that aren't on the air thanks to the WGA strike. Anybody in?

We made a nice run at the end and could have won. Sometimes those shots fall, sometimes they don't.

The scum throwing stuff on the court ruined everything. Yeah, the refs were bad. This is the PAC 10. The refs are usually bad.

Grow up, guys.

Ticky tack fouls all afternoon, and then the refs swallow their whistles on the last play. That would have been a huge win, and now we have UCLA, USC, and U of A all on the road within 3 days.

Hahaha, that is comedy. I would pay a good amount to watch that disaster

Looks like the Kool aid and Euphoria is starting to wear off and things are returning back to normal for Basketball in AZ.

And I couldn't be happier about it.:)

This above quote is a joke. As Russ pointed out Beasley and Gorden are amazing players and Rose is a stud too but just has too much talent around him to have the stats that stand out.

Listen I love Harden and think he will be a good player for years to come in the Pac-10 and NBA. But he is no Jerryd Bayless. Not even close. Bayless is getting his numbers with another legit NBA guy on his team. I like em both but Bayless is the better potential pro AND better now. Look at the difference in our team.

You will get to see him first hand in a few weeks to make your own assessment - as its pretty obvious you don't watch college basketball that doesn't involve Sparky.
