How long is Harden expected to stay here, btw? Sophomore year?

I would say minimum through his sophomore year. The reason I think that is because he was choosing between Washington and ASU, if he wanted to jump to the NBA after one year, Washington probably would've been the better choice as he would've been in a stronger program and gotten more exposure. Secondly, I've heard Sendek say a few times in interviews that he really dislikes the NBAs one year in college rule, and he thinks it should be a 2 year rule. Sendek said its bad for college basketball and leads to players taking their 2nd semester off academically (or potentially could). So it seems that Sendek generally isn't going to take that sort of player (though Im sure if someone like Oden comes along and wants to come to Tempe, Herb would be OK w/ that :p ). Furthermore, since Sendek is trying to build a program, it seems logical to me that you'd take guys who'd want to hang around.

My predication is that Pendergraph will come back next year, especially if ASU misses the tourney this year. I hope/think Harden plays at least through his Junior year, and I'm fairly positive he'll play through his sophomore year.

I went to the game yesterday and had a lot of fun. I hadn't been to a basketball game in a long time and forgot how much better it is in person than on tv. Good to see ASU doing so well. I'm so excited to have Erickson/Sendek/Murphy leading the big three programs. Coach Erickson was at the game again yesterday, too. :)

I don't want to record it. Only half the game and after watching the 2nd half I won't really care that much. Well actually I'll be recording for my dad anyway. :p But I'd rather come and read a quick summary

Quick summary: brick fest. ASU probably set a record for missed layups and UofA wasn't much better.

Well nice to see Chase Budinger get away with a blatant foul in order to push this to OT, ASU should've been at the FT line (where they do very well). Thats a ridiculous call, Budinger was holding Abbotts wrist and I saw it w/ out the reply- total garbage by the refs.

Agree 100%, one of the worst calls I have enver seen in a basketball game. When the ref had to look at the screen to figure out the time, you could see him cringe when he saw the foul he had just called. Hopefully ASU can pull this out in OT. Would be HUGE for the program.

I agree also. I don't mind that they let them fight for the ball but why is Budinger allowed to grab on like that? Ty had the ball and pulled his arm free = a foul? No way.

Its ova- Devils win!!!! It wasn't pretty, Pendy didn't play great, the supporting cast was pedestrian at best, but good gravy Harden took over in the 2nd half.

Not to worry, you guys will be looking up at us come season's end. We just need Bayless back, he's our version of James Harden. Nice W though fighting back, Arizona just doesn't have the horses right now.

Great win, it will be fun to be in the top 25....when was the last time we started 3-0 in the Pac-10?

Good lord man, did you see the blatant over the back on Abbott before the incident? It was a good no call.

Im sorry but theres no objective person that can call that a good no call. As far as my understanding of the game goes, you can't hold someones freakin' wrist.

The possible over the back is a good no call in that situation, its a tie game, at the end of regulation, you let a little physical play go. Someone HOLDING is not permissible though. I know you are going to try to rationalize the loss, but that was a garbage call, plain and simple.

That being said, I thought the refs were pretty poor tonight and hurt BOTH teams multiple times. They didn't seem sharp and it often took them too long to make calls.

EDIT: Not that either of us will ever convince each other, so might as well not try.

So onto something I would like to get your opinion on, how did you feel about KO burning Z. Johnsons redshirt?

We should be ranked.

Top 25 here we come...

I do think we'll slip in at right around 25, though I think some of the pollsters who were playing close attention may not put ASU in their top 25 since UA was w/ out Bayless.

They were atrocious. Sometimes they let them play, other times they called it ticky-tack. All coaches and fan ask for is consistency. I've grown accustomed to terrible Pac-10 officiating though, it's just another reason we're not respected nationally.

And the issue with your argument is that Budinger would not have even had the chance to hold if Abbott didn't jump on his back on the rebound he secured. Doesn't really matter in the big scheme of things, ASU deserved to win and they did.

If they called that I would have had no problem with it, but if they let that go they have to allow a guy to get free when he's being held. Should have been no-calls all around and OT.

A foul being called with .4 seconds left out of the penalty might as well be a no call.

Doesn't bother me. Like the rest of our upperclassmen, Daniel Dillon and Jawann McLellan are terrible which leaves only Wise and Bayless in the backcourt. We're going to need him at some point in the season thanks to the weak depth all-around, Laval Lucas-Perry transferring is the biggest issue.
