ASU Baseball

Recruiting has definitely slipped. Back in Murphy days, ASU was pulling big time kids from across the country. Nowadays it seems they cannot even keep the good kids in town as the 2 top AZ kids this year are going to UA (they won't end up there). I guess their drop in recruiting comes with a silver lining, the kids they are getting aren't getting poached in the draft so they are ending up on campus.

What concerns me is the large amount of players that have been leaving the team.

On Sunday, the school announced a noon media session on Tuesday with ASU Vice President for University Athletics Ray Anderson, fueling speculation about the future of Tracy Smith as head coach of the baseball program.

In a release, the school said "Anderson will discuss the future of Sun Devil Baseball with members of the media" at the media session.

Personally I'm hoping for a coaching change. It simply has not worked out well.
