Birth to 32, Phoenix. Now, enemy territory.

Nice.

Except that you omitted the standard kitty line about how the entire conference owes the UA for somehow keeping the Pac-10 basketball solvent.

Meanwhile, outside of northern Mexico, you're more known for embarassing losses to the likes of Santa Clara, East Tennessee State, and Miami (OH), than you are for pulling a rabbit out of your hat in '97.

Say whatever you want. The fact is, this has been a nightmare of a year for UA. And while you may pull out of this athletic nosedive, nothing is certain. You may find the right coaches and remain competitive in the Pac. But at this point (and no matter what Mao says) you're well on your way to being a UTEP or Baylor...

Yeah, at least UTEP and Baylor can make a Tournament or two over the last few years.

ASU? Not so much.

Typical Rat, living in the past. Lute and his program are done and Northern Mexico can't accept it. UA gets an invite due to a formula based on quality losses vs quality wins. The "basketbal people" say ASU was more deserving. Whatever the future looks good for ASU regardless. tFYC (the four year college) can't seem to compete head to head with ASU in anything, but Rats look for "formulas" that say they are better with a blind eye to the SCOREBOARD...

Seems like UofA fans like to invade ASU threads. I have no involvement in either UofA or ASU. But I tend to pull for ASU more for whatever reason.

Went to the game last night, a shame that more people don't show up. The ASU basketball games have been such a good time, excellent atmosphere, fired up crowd and just a fun team to watch. It is exciting to see what could happen if guys like Boateng, McMillian, Abbott and Rihards can continue to improve.

It takes a while. It took Rick Barnes 2-3 years to get Texas fans back to the games. They even had to reconfigure the seating to change the atmosphere as too many 40 year old corporate execs and their wives were taking the prime seats and either not showing or just sitting on their hands. Now the place rocks.

But even with Texas having had 5 sweet 16 appearances in the last 7 years and players like TJ Ford, Daniel Gibson and Kevin Durant they still have trouble filling the arena for a lot of games. However, those that show up act like they're at a bb game instead of the symphony.
