ASU fans really are obsessed with Zendejas. He's an idiot kicker, let it go. Jesus.

I assume it's because of last year and of course the family--with uncle Max being 4-0 against ASU in the 80s, kicking a couple of game-winners and spoiling a Rose Bowl bid. The rivalry has a long memory.

But switching topics, it wouldn't be a Devils victory without basketball being brought up soon after. I was at the '05 game in Tempe, and obviously at halftime there was a lot of jeering about ASU not being a "second half team." Funny how the topic switched to basketball two quarters later. Personally, after football I'm more interested in the baseball rivalry. THAT'S a sport where both schools always field quality teams.

Um, it was an ASU game too.

You know very well they show clips of the area of the home team at sporting events. Ive never seen a shot of an aerial shot of downtown Phoenix at a Suns- Lakers game from Staples. It was obviously a screw up by someone at ESPN.

cue Mao going on and on about how college baseball isn't a sport and only 'midgets' play.

You're going to get beat by 10+ devils. We are what we are. The 3rd or 4th best team in the Pac-10. You guys are like 7th or 8th. And we are at home.

Welcome to Blow-Out City. Population: You Guys :)

Reality:

ASU and Arizona finished 6th and 7th respectively (in the Pac-10) with ASU being ranked higher in the conference standing due to the head-to-head victory. :D

Still haven't gotten my voice back - Yelling, mixed with an existing cold is murder on the vocal cords.

I have gone to several of these rival games over the years, and this is by far the best one that I had seen/experienced. I loved to see a Zendejas be the goat, and loved to see Stoops drop the final four games of his "Rose Bowl" season. I was glad to see the team hasn't quit on Erickson (even though I had). And I can't believe how good Burfict is. Incredible.

Side note, I was embarrassed by ASU's #24 coming over to the sideline and spewing crap at the Wildcat fans after the game. I hate that crap.

Never said it's not a sport, just that it's irrelevant. That fact can be supported in dozens of ways.

Irrelevant to what or who? I follow it all the way out here, and ASU leads the conference in attendance. The school has probably put more prominent players into MLB than the NFL. I don't mean to imply that it's in any way competitive with football or basketball on the NCAA landscape, but I wouldn't call it irrelevant. But I'm a fan.
