Herman would def be the more seasoned coach, Dilly is more of a risk but has some factors in his favor, ie cheaper, AZ and ASU connections...

Beggers can't be choosers I suppose. ASU is in full rebuild mode and it seems no big name coach was going to come here unless ridiculous money was thrown at them. Going to be years before they're in any decent bowl games. Oof.

Could be a good hire under the circumstances. I think it's a better gamble to go with a younger unproven guy than the failed retread route that seems to bite so many programs in the rear (Kevin Sumlin, anyone?) or whatever the hell Herm Edwards was.
