At what point do you fire this coaching staff?

I think end of season. How many bye week coaching changes really work out. Then the guy has to use coaches already there instaed of a staff of his guys. Either way, if you are getting rid of your coach in the bye week, the season is lost anyway!

Agree, best to wait the full season and make the right moves. Better options will be available at that time than during the season when anybody that is good is under contract.

I think that Bidwill gives them until bye week to make sure this isn’t a fluke. Give the staff a chance to make things “click.” After that, it’s open season

all depends. if this team looks this historically atrocious and wins only 1-3 games, I think Keim and Wilks deserve to be fired on Black Monday after the season. If they somehow win 4-6 games and Rosen looks promising at the end of the year, they definitely get another year.

McCoy is the more immediate question. Does he get fired mid-year for the second time in a row as OC? I mean, I've NEVER seen a more inept offense in my life, which is saying a ton considering i've been watching Cardinals football for 30 years.

I will reserve my early judgement on the coaching staff until we see the team sans Bradford. A QB who plays like he is terrified of getting hit every play, and the subsequent pressure on the defense being on the field 3/4 of the game, is pretty much always a recipe for disaster.

Agreed. Put in Glennon as a test

Oh hell no! I have less confidence in Glennon than I do Rosen, just from the preseason game I went to! LOL!
Agreed, not going to learn anything putting in the least talented qb on the roster. I say let the kid play . If he is terrible well we'll have a top pick next year to try and improve the position.

The 0-2 record is not concerning to me in the least. It's how we're playing and how we're not playing. Sucks. Coaching absolutely sucks. Worst I've seen. Anyways...

That's is what I do like about our coach. He does address the players that screw up as they come off the field. I will give him that.

The players are going to calling him out publicly soon if this continues. It’s a 2 way street when your players don’t respect you

Actually no, there is no high school team, or college team for that matter, which would have been competitive with us because our pro talent alone across the board would bury them but here lies the problem, it's not as much talent as the coaching since every pro team has talent and you win by executing and out scheming your opponent for the most part. I know you probably said that for effect because this is the worst coaching or allocation of personnel I have seen as a Cardinal fan... though I would agree with you that there are high school coaching programs which have a better grasp
You make good points here Jet. In addition I think as a coaching staff you need to be able to recognize the talents of the players available to you, and use them so they are using those abilities they are best at. This staff seems clueless on how to do that.

This is a horrid take.
10-6
Then.
5-11
5-11

Recently just gave Hue Jackson his first win since 2016. Probably 5-11 again. Consistency.

If that’s a horrid take, I want to fathom what a great take is.

That means he joins Mike McCoy as the only coaches to lose to the Browns in the past 3 seasons.

Really? What players on their offense the last two years would make you think they’d win 3 games, much less 5? At the beginning of last season, people thought the Jets were tanking and would be the worst team in the NFL.

That Bowles has managed to mire that franchise in mediocrity is an accomplishment. If he wins 6 games with this group it would be a miracle.

If we are still ranked 30th -32th in offense and defense by the bye, at the very least the OC and DC has to go. We have relatively the same starters/roster as last season, yet have regressed so far.

So you’re giving praise because he “outperformed” low expectations that were completely unreasonable to begin with? Seriously?

Bowles’ clock management is terrible, doesn’t make halftime adjustments, team lacks discipline, & is your typical ultra-conservative HC prior DC. Not disagreeing that the Jets haven’t been littered with offensive talent, but bad decisions are bad decisions & Bowles has made a lot of them during his time as HC.

Good DC? Of course.
Good HC? No.

The worst winning % by a Jets HC since Rich Kotite in a franchise of mediocrity? We all love Todd but he’s a DC.

If you fire a coaching staff part way into the first year then you will not find any top candidates that will want the job.
