On right now, looks like Newton is going to have to throw to win this game. His team is down by 21. 3 quarters left, good test of character.

Ruined the day for me. I was really looking forward to a classic college football game.

Too much distraction for Auburn with all the recruiting stuff I guess. That plus Alabama's defense.

Well at least Auburn is making it somewhat interesting as the game winds down.

Now if Nevada can give the BS National Champions a game tonight it might make up for it.

Great game, would love to have Nick Fairley on this team but DE isn't a need. The guy plays with a mean streak!!!

Both of these young QBs have played pretty well. Good game, Bama has had the chance to put it away a couple times.

Fun game!

When it was 21-0 I said, One of the things I enjoy about college football, the chance of a comeback from way down!!!

Just don't see that as much in the pros.

I like the kid but he better grow a brain. Every play he makes is a PF I've never seen someone slam QB's down to the ground so much. The guy does it everytime and gets called for it all the time and doesn't learn. That will NOT fly in the NFL.

If he can break that habit he'll be great, but there is a difference between having a 'mean streak' and just being stupid.

He has a lot of growing up to do which will probably come with some growing pains. I am a big fan of his talent, but what ever team he goes to better have some one in charge that lets Newton know Newton isn't in charge. Cam seems to go with who ever he looks up to, and what ever they think is best.

That being said, I not only hope he is represented by people that want the best for him and not them selves, but I also hope he finds a coach he will respect and groove with. He can do well in the NFL.

How come these threads don't start in the College forum. It is a ghost town over there.

Because it is a ghost town over there. ;) That and Newton might be a option in the draft. :)

2nd round. Not with the top 10 pick in the first round, pleeeeeeeze. Watched him closely during the Alabama game. That guy has terrible mechanics. Almost as bad as Vince Young and Tebow. Tebow like college player. Tebow like pro player. 5 better QB pro prospects in the draft.

Wally, what do you think of Mallet? He makes awesome throws, and then somewhat terrible ones.

I really like the guy. Sorta like Drew Bledsoe. Sometimes he gets stupid, but he has huge physical talent IMHO.

Yep. His deep throws can be things of beauty. I blame the mistakes on Petrino. Hate that guy.

Maybe South Carolina can take them down in the SEC CC game. The old ball coach just might do it.

I'm praying to Baby Football Jesus for this to happen. I can't go visit relatives for a year if Auburn wins a NC. Shoot, maybe just right them off for a decade.
