Following the 2024-25 season, the odds of Chad Baker-Mazara returning to Auburn were 50/50. After weighing his options, Baker-Mazara has finally decided on his future with the program.
The talented wing shared on X (Twitter) that he plans to enter the transfer portal for his final season of eligibility. Baker-Mazara made sure to show his gratitude to the program, fans, and coaches in his farewell message.
Baker-Mazara departs after spending two seasons at Auburn, where he averaged 11.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists over a 73-game span. He shot 45% from the field and was efficient at the free-throw line, connecting on 88% of his attempts. The 2024-25 season is Baker-Mazara's best at the Division One level as he reached career-highs in points scored, steals, assists, two-point percentage, and overall field goal percentage.
Baker-Mazara, who has been awarded an extra season of eligibility due to an NCAA waiver that grants athletes with a junior college background one additional season to play at the NCAA's highest level of competition. Baker-Mazara joins freshman forward Jahki Howard as members of Auburn's Final Four squad to enter the transfer portal since the conclusion of the season.
