Awful remake news

In case you don't want to read through the links I will summerize.

It looks like Warner Brothers is set to remake Lethal Weapon, Westworld, and worst of all The Wild Bunch.

The second link brings news that Will Smith was so excited with his son's version of The Karate Kid that he decided that his daughter should play Annie in a new remake.

And finally the third link tells of three remakes of Jerry Lewis movies. Those would be The Bellboy, Cinderfella, and The Family Jewels.

Lethal Weapon? Really? There are 10 cop/buddy movies released every year as it is.

Most of those movies are so corny they could stand to be improved. Even Lethal Weapon. I was a teenager rolling my eyes through most of that movie. My friends and I would quote it religiously to mock it.

Yes, which was a nice change of pace in reality for Busey. With him it's usually assault and battery.

jack palance chewed up so much scenery in that movie that he needed the freaking lapband when it was over.

classic movie... gave me the word FUBAR. for that alone, it's one of the greatest movies ever made.

westworld's been in the works for YEARS.

My boss pitched a version of it to Tarsem back in the day when he was circling the project. like most of these projects, it went nowhere.

You know that deserved 5/5. The problem was the delivery. But if Tim Roth had delivered it in his rapid-fire cockney accent, you would've laughed much harder.

I don't think we can completely blame Hollywood. We're the idiots that buy the tickets for these stupid remakes. We're the idiots that buy the movies on DVD or Blu-Ray and we're the idiots that rent them or watch them on HBO.

I totally agree. Thats a film that could benefit from a remake IMO.
But who's gonna be Yul Brynner as the gunslinger?
Who's bald,serious looking,not too old,not too young and has a legit screen presence?

EDIT: Ok,after doing a little research and listening to what some are saying,
here are a few guys i think might be able to pull it off as The Westworld Gunslinger in 2012.
