The winner of this game will be sitting at 7-7 and waiting for the Vikings (7-6) to battle Devin Hester and the well rested (11 days off by then) Bears on Monday Night Football.

I think the return of 2 injured Cardinal players can make a huge difference this week. On offense its WR Anquan Boldin. Even at 50% he is truly the blood and guts of the offensive unit and him being out there will raise everyones level of play.

And on defense I really hope S Aaron Francisco can return. With no A.Wilson or E.Green out there the secondary is surely lacking a physical presence. Lets hope Aaron is finally ready to go this week because the Cardinals need his energy out there!

Go Cardinals/ America!
Tim

I heard today that the Bears are going to play Orton for the rest of the season. That's not very good news for us, I don't think.

what the Bears really ought to do is line Hester up 30 yards behind the line and just have the QB turn around and throw it to him.

Saints looked like an offensive juggernaut last night..sure it was only Falcons but the Saints dominated on the road. We can't worry about the Vikes yet. Need to take care of business first...Man I wish we weren't so beat up.

In the parts of the game I watched, it seemed like the Falcons had no pass rush.

It was also fun to watch Rodney White give up on a route, stop running and miss a pretty well thrown ball by Redman. When he got back to the huddle, you could read White's lips. "I didn't know you would throw it." Too funny.

While I accepted a few weeks ago that we are not playoff bound, I do have to say that it is pretty refreshing, even with all the bad news, that here we are three weeks left in the season and there is a slim mathematical chance for the playoffs.

That just doesn't happen. This thread is usually posted around Halloween...definitely mid-november...not mid december.

When Orton started 2 years ago as a rookie, the Bears had some success because he did not make the mistakes that have killed them recently.
It also is a division game for them - anything can happen. :koolaid::koolaid::koolaid:

They also had a running game and an historically stiffling defense. They have neither of those things right now.

he threw 13 picks and lost 5 fumbles that year, they were winning becaues of the defense in spite of Orton. His INT% that year is almost identical to Grossman's career mark, they threw the ball less with Orton because he didn't have the arm Rex does.

They need a new QB.

This is going to be interesting...I'm guessing the other guy (too lazy to go look at his name again...pierre, paris, perry, poop in a cup, whatever) is going to go wild on us. We will hold Stecker (the 3rd string...err...starter) in check while the 4th string guy makes like Dickerson.

i will be really interested to see how this team comes to play this weekend. With the Minny game not until MNF, this team should be looking at this game as a must-win and it will show a lot to me going forward into next season if they can win a roadie against a similarly talented opponent with something possibly being on the line.

then again, the other part of me says very little of this season will end amounting to anything because we're not seeing our QB of the future growing and winning these games so it really doesn't matter. This team's future will ride or die on the shoulders of Matt Lienart.

Stecker is exactly the kind of back that will give us fits.

He might have 90 yards receiving, too.

We will lose and probably in a blowout.

This team has lost too many playmakers to be able to go on the road and beat a decent team who is also fighting for playoffs.

On Madden today Stecker got me for 113 in a pass-happy game. It was highlighted by a 36yd td scamper late in the third.

The Saints have not won a game at home this year!

Why does this worry me?

that can't possibly be true, can it?

Actually I was mistaken.
I had heard this and the person that told me was wrong.
They have won two games at home, against the Falcons and the Jaguars.
Still, it doesn't bode well for us.

I was at the Titan/Saints game in Oct in New Orleans. The Saints looked like garbage and they lost badly. I know they are playing better of late, but it wouldn't hurt us if they returned to the bad form I witnessed in person.

The Saints stink. They are totally beatable. We may lose because it is hard to win any time on the road but I will be big time disappointed if we get blown out.
