Was always curious about a season ending injury. So if they are on their last year of their contact and get a season ending injury like Peters got, does that move his FA to the next year? Sounds like it as he's not a FA right now... Right?

No it doesn't move the FA back. He signed a two year deal last offseason.

Last year was only the 2nd injury of his career.

Nope. He missed 6 games to start 2012 with a foot injury. He only started 2 games in 2014 because he was still coming back from the injury he suffered in Week 17 of 2013.

You mean the guy who played on some bad Falcons D's just like Spoon? I don't think he's as good as everyone thinks he is.

Peters was having a very impressive pre-season before the injury. Showed very good strength at the POA, and consistent ability to stop or disrupt the timing of the backfield and the pocket. if he can get back to that level, Bucky, he can be a bright asset.

He got injured after the first preseason game, where he might have played 20 snaps.

Well I hope so, still have my doubts about him having a big impact on our D.

He will make more impact at DT than Gunter or williams did last year. Now gunter will move to a more natural spot of DE and youll have peters and williams, a stout combo.

was never super crazy about Peters in the first place. Did nothing to distinguish himself on bad Falcons Ds and is pretty injury prone. Expect the worst from him, hope for the best for me.

I agree from the little time I saw him. I thought he looked good.

I think he can be good for the defense but I have a hard time going off him holding his own and breaking through our center (which might have been Shipley) and interior at the time of the POA :D

that one time in preseason when he did a drill he looked really good.

:sarcasm:

hopefully he is solid for us, we know he can play if he is healthy.

Hahaha, You should be rounding out into a pretty happy camper here in the desert O Cheezie One. IIR, you have said pretty much the same thing about nearly 3/4 of the roster for the past three years now. LOL:D
