Good question. Usually there are reports that leak out right before the draft as to who the Suns prefer, if they pick somebody different than the one reported then we are picking for the Magic. Also if you are making a pick for someone else, the info is usually leaked out before the draft.

Good point though this is a tough year to figure out what would be unusual pick especially when the Suns aren't favoring a position.
