B Knight Traded

Suns talk pre game just said they have confirmed a trade was made. It involved Brevin Knight, they dont know who we got yet.

KTAR is "guessing" it's Brevin for Battie or Jahidi White.

Both Boston and Washington are playing tonight and White hasn't played in their game--Battie has.

I just saw that.

White's contract also only has 1 year remaining, where Battie has 2.

However, it pays him 5.8 million in his final year, while Batties is 4.8 next year, and 5.2 the following.

Actually, white has only played 4 minutes in 1 game this year, so him not playing may not be from the trade.....

According to the Washington Post, White (sinus infection) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Dallas.

But with Battie actually playing right now, that would usually discount that.

Maybe they are waiting until the Boston or Washington games end before announcing it, that's why they're waiting.

Look to see if he comes back after halftime, if he doesn't play that is a good sign for us.

I dont think he would even be allowed to re-enter the game after a deal was made. And if it isn't formally completed yet, they dont want to risk an injury.......

Yeah, White is a big boy. I haven't watched him play much, but I remember him being a load in the paint, grabbing lots of rebounds, playing decent defense and being a little slow. I wouldn't mind a trade for him, especially since he's in the last year of his overpaid contract.

it may just be the hoya in me, but i love jahidi! i'd be happier with battie, but jahidi would give us sumpin' we just don't have - a bruiser. he's a load, and when he gets the ball near the basket it's a dunk. he'll also pull down some rebounds for us that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise and can put a serious body on someone (including shaq). is he the most skilled player on the court? no. but are we looking for more skillball or a hulk? i think he fits the hulk-need. but i'm glad to see us active!

Chris Mihm? I think that would be a big reach for the Suns. I could see why Cleveland would want a PG because they really don't have one on the team, but is Mihm any better than Trybanski?

That would be interesting--the pick they owe us would have to be included--Cleveland would be stupid not to ask for it. But is this really worth it? Chris Mihm for Brevin and their pick?

My friend said he now heard that the suns will not announce it till halftime so the player involved can finish their game.

Oh please be tony battie, out of the possibilities I like him the best by far.

hmm, mihm could be servicable too. i like him third of him, battie, and jahidi. i thought he was gonna be a solid (not great) pro coming outta TX. he may still be with more talent around him.
