Makes those Rudy Gay rumors seem doubtful. Thats good. The whole of what he said is pretty good. But I still dont trust him. He talked about not spending all the cap this summer and that the team had a long term plan... then turned around and tried their best to blow the entire cap. Prove me wrong Babby, I beg you.

But while you're proving me wrong, get Lance Blanks ran the hell out of town. I dont remotely trust that doofus.

Not that I would be upset if Babby was replaced but I've always felt that Blanks was the main problem.

I'm somewhat reassured that Babby isn't intent on latching onto Gay, but beyond that I don't have any faith in the FO making good personnel decisions. He could have apologized for foisting Beasley on us - and the team.

This whole thing about Babby keeping Nash and this sentimental crap, when all the while he was going to let him walk was deceptive IMO. Yet Babby kept up the story. Nash should have been traded before last season's trading deadline.

Nash was worth far more to the Suns than any other team. The Suns wouldn't have gotten a better deal than what the ended up with, and likely would have been worse especially if the Lakers miss the playoffs.

This is great news..

There is absolutely no way he can make the Gay trade after making those comments, whew.. dodged a bullet on that one!

The Suns got a sweet deal from the Lakers but who could have seen it coming before it happened. I wouldn't argue that point. I think even Nash was surprised. However, Babby was not upfront about being willing to part with Nash... interview after interview... he talked on how important it was for the Suns to keep Nash. He lost points with me on this one on not being upfront. He does get points in getting something significant out of Nash's departure.

Anytime you use the term "reassuring" with anybody in this front office it's an oxymoron.

The one thing I like about Babby is that he's not afraid to defer to the "basketball" people. The problem is that I don't trust the basketball people we have (i.e. Blanks).
