I have. Small price to pay to get the Cards out of the Stadium of the Metal Benches. :)

Small price? Wish I was as rich as you.

But then the Cards aren't in SDS anymore so we need to move on.

We should've traded SDS for a 4th rounder.

Obviously YOU have never had to rent a car at the Phoenix airport.

:D

There are so many car rental places in the Valley, you can find them 10 minutes from the airport without paying that hefty tax.

As the former host of the Fiesta and Super bowls, they should have been able to get something. Geez. Good point AF.

We tried to trade it to Jerry Jones, since they were looking for a new stadium.

Even he wouldn't take that pile o' crap.

That's what we do now. Take the hotel shuttle and have one of the rental companies like Enterprise deliver our car there.

On short term rentals of 2-3 days the taxes and fees can reach 60%.

The rental location is a nightmare because you have so many people dropped off at the same time creating instant lines at every rental counter.

The worst is the NASCAR weekend. There was an hour plus wait at some of the counters last year. And thanks to the schedulers we get to do it again this season.

 The "stadium" tax applies regardless of where you are renting the car from. Now granted, off-airport rentals may be cheaper overall, but the tax still is applied.

It is common knowledge

But most teams don't do that, and the chances we could've gotten ANYTHING are low.

Washington did with Champ Bailey. The Jets moved DE John Abraham when he was a Franchise player last season. The Bears tried to work something out regarding Lance Briggs. This isn't the same world as it was even three years ago. Every team except the Cards understands that free agency is going to be lean for awhile, and so trades are going to be much more frequent.

There were a lot of trades regarding RFAs this offseason. Teams can still work a deal with the player and then work out a compensation package. You would think that not even Rod Graves is incompetent enough to forget that anything is more than nothing. But he didn't learn his lesson with David Boston, and he apparently didn't learn his lesson with Leonard Davis, since there were multiple teams looking to throw mid-eight figure deals at him.
