A part of me feels bad for KC because I do think the "call" was wrong BUT....in 47+ years of watching football the ONLY "gift" I can recall is Mel Gray's non-TD-catch against the Redskins. ...And in all those years of horrible officiating involving the Cards (blatantly biased?) NO ONE, except Cardinal fans, has ever sympathized with me. So, I for one, can live with it.

We played a very scrappy, dare I say, Cardinal-esque game, and it makes this up-coming week ( a "shortie" with the Rams Thurs. nite ) SO MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE!!

SO, CELEBRATE MY CARDINAL FRIENDS!!

10-3 and STILL in 1st!

I didn't think it was a bad call. That ball is moving before he goes down and then the sequence is so fast, there is no way to say Kelce possessed it. What was brilliant was the staff figuring out is with worth a challenge. They are forgiven by me for last weeks bone head missed challenge. Especially satisfying that it was Kelce because he acted like a punk all game.

I don't think it was a bad call at all. The replay clearly showed the ball was knocked lose prior to the runner being down. That is why the Cardinals made a late challenge and the refs overturned the call.

I said "bad call" because...

the strong opinion in the booth and by the NFL rules "expert" was that it would NOT be over-turned. Gotta' like BA's-style!

True once they showed the side angle the ball was coming loose before he went down.

We did get a lot of homecooking by the officials against the Lions this year.

I thought it was loose as he went down but it looked like he maintained it with 1 hand while rolling over. Was definitely shocked to see it overturned.

If that happened to us = ASFN meltdown

We never saw the side view until after the call was made to reverse the call.

I think they showed it but weren't paying attention to what was going on with the ball prior to the runner going down. It wasn't until they were told what to look for was it talked about.

Sorry but the ball was moving in his hands before he hit the ground! The refs made the right call. Screw CBS's Mike Carey he was wrong saying there wasn't enough to overturn & it just proves the inconsistencies if the refs!!!

Thank goodness someone in the Cards booth saw it cause it prolly win tge game for us.

It's clearly moving. Easy to overrule and obviously the officials agreed.

If we got a gift I would call it a gift and move on, that was the right call anyone with their vision in tact and one ounce of football common sense could see it.

Correct call and a rather easy one at that. Ball was dislodged clearly and not one view showed him recovering possession. The replay on the jumbotron showed it very clearly and we all screamed for the challenge which came shortly after. At that point I had zero doubt it would be our ball.

Incidentally, the showed us what the refs were looking at and the last view was for the clear recovery and the crowd knew then it was ours.

That was one of them "it's only the right call by the letter of the rules" deals. The rules don't always translate to the correct call being made.

The first angle they showed in the stadium was an OBVIOUS fumble.... Everything after that mAde me doubt what I had seen. The call on replay was right.

It was the right call by all measures. Seriously not getting the stress over this one. Not one chief fan near us complained.

Maybe the TV announcers planted something false in your heads.

At the game we saw the side view replay immediately and it was beyond clear. Again not one chiefs fan complained and they just hung their heads.

Chief fan in front of me said, "it's bs they show this on the jumbo Tron". I said, "they only show the ones good for the Cards... Same as KC does at home." His response... "True"

On the Kansas City Star facebook page they asked if the fumble was a bad call. There are hundreds of replies, almost all in the affirmative. A lot of them are sure they'll be getting an apology real soon from the league office. Dreaming is free I guess.

Of course they are going to say that. They are chiefs fans. If the roles were reversed then the non-realist cardinal fans would be saying the same thing.

What did not help was we had a AFC broadcast crew and the initial reviews before the change did not show a fumble... the one shown from the side after the switch of possession clearly did :)

Yeah the last replay from in front you can see the ball is moving before he goes down so I can see it as a fumble.

Yeah, I think the fact that the ball was knocked out of his hands as he was going down was what sealed it.

Don't even get me started on those clowns. Robert Houston is a really good RB for the Cardinals.

Oh and all the cardinals fans at the game today are bandwagoners...
