Supposedly he has a lot of talent, but every game this playoffs he has looked wild and out of control. He made 2 shots early in the game, but then missed a wide-open 15 footer and took a couple wild layup attempts. He also had 1 or 2 reckless turnovers which cost us momentum. Is he taking the Darrell Armstrong diet of Coke and candy bars, or is he just that nervous on the big stage?

he really does. 11 seconds left in the third quarter and he tries to get a quick layup? He ended up with a turnover and we were lucky to get a steal and go into the 4th with a 4 point lead.

And Evil_ash said Barbosa is good and tell me to shut up..?

I've watched EVERY SINGLE playoff game so far. I don't really care what Barbosa did during regular season but so far, he just simply sucks. I am sorry but when he steps in... all he does is to buy time for Nash to rest.

He has speed but the refs don't give any calls for him and he can't finish at all. If he can't draw a foul and can't finish the ball, why bother driving in? Slow down and give it to the other players or pass it out!!!

Too many wild fast break layups.

On one of them, Barbosa took it into 2 Spurs and missed a crazy layup when JJAX was wide open at the three point line, and he had been hot then as well.

Barbosa always looks like he is trying to win the game single handidly. Hes way to erratic and inexperienced to even attempt such a feet. He just needs to put in some quality minutes and keep nash rested

eh? I didn't say that. You basically called him a talentless oaf and I disagreed with that.

He has talent but yes he is incredibly erratic.

I should also give Barbosa his credit where it is due.

He single handedly shut down the Spurs fast break a couple of times.

I did say he has speed, didn't I? But he still doesn't know how to control it and put it to his advantage.

You were the one that says Barbosa is good once he starts hitting some shots but from ALL the playoff games I've seen, he was NEVER "on". He has some decent defense but defense is never our main strength, you should know by now.

Barbosa can't run fast breaks. He doesn't pass out fast enough and if he doesn't pass out, he'll go straight to the hoop and either miss the shot or basically get blocked, or not drawing any fouls at all.

Maybe I am expecting too much from him but I just think he needs to play a little bit better so Nash can rest more ESPECIALLY we have no JJ now. Barbosa is only playing because JJ is out and I would expect him putting more on the table than just "buying time" for the starters to rest.

Spurs' bench can not only buy time for the starters to rest but they can also SCORE and play tough defense. Just look at Barry for god's sake. He just stepped in and hitting 2 long 3pt while we were trying to disturb Duncan. Barbosa hit one 3pt which is good but that's not in 4th quarter. We need some decent bench production while Nash is resting early in the 4th.

God..we need JJ and I hope he is ready when he is back. Things don't look too god but if Lakers can upset Spurs, so can we!!!

I wish Barbosa would just settle on being a spot up shooter, for some reason I have more confidence with him just standing on the arch and launching a 3 than Q. Everytime he makes a move to the hoop, I get concerned. The kid has tunnel vision and that is better for outside shooter than a slasher.

i hate seeing him try to single handedly do EVERYTHING. any time he's running up court with the ball i'm afraid that he'll either dribble off his foot, slip, or lose control of himself or the ball leading to a turnover.....and 90% of the time that's what happens.

the kid does great when being paired with nash on the court, but when he's given the responsibility of running the point on his own, its disasterous.

he's got amazing talent, but i dont know if he's suited for this team. he needs a place where he can find the playing time to develop.
