Can anybody tell me what Nash did exactly to warrant a suspension?

He started the fight. Pretty clear on replay. This is why that entire thing was so stupid. We get suspensions right at the hard part of our November schedule.

Uh, no.

Barnes and/or Alston started the fight. Barnes shouldn't have blasted Alston that way, obviously. But a foul should have been called. Alston retaliated at center court. That started the fight.

Or was that a joke?

I think this is a complete over reaction by the NBA and at most Barnes and Alston should have been given 1 game suspensions and Nash should have been fined.

Suspend Mcgrady and Shaq then because they made more contact than Nash. And they should suspend that Rocket for getting in Barnes face too. What a wimp league when you can't bump a little pest. (Should have been a technical on Barnes and thats it)

Next they will have someone run infront of guys and stop. If you bump them, they confront you and you get suspended. Wussy league.

He plays for the Phoenix Suns and David Stern and Stu Jackson have made it clear they hate the Suns; ergo, the suspension. :mulli:

The overrated washed-up injured reserve player doesn't get suspended for pushing down our 2time MVP role player of the team (much more contact than nash ever made to anyone besides barbosa), priceless.

"It's just overblown," Barnes said. "They went above and beyond the call of duty here. They didn't call a foul in my situation. We got in a little pushing match and I get suspended for two games? Rafer gets two games and Rafer threw two punches at Steve. Basically, what they're saying is you might as well throw two punches because you got the same suspension as someone who threw two punches. Steve comes and tries to break it up and gets thrown to the ground and he gets suspended and T-Mac (McGrady) doesn't get anything. Ridiculous."

I hate Stern. You suspend Nash, but you don't suspend McGrady which gave Nash that nasty bruise on his neck or Shaq when he threw McGrady 5 feet? If Nash's shoulder wasn't banged up, I'd be really pissed off.

Stern is such a dick.

Stern needs to resign. I am sorry the guy is just freaking pathetic. Nash in no way shape or form deserved a suspension.

Barnes....I get it. Alston I get it. However, Nash didn't deserve it. In fact, I would say that Shaq and T-Mac were more likely to get suspended because they pushed other players to the ground.

Makes no F$!$@!#$! sense. If they made the decision not to suspend Shaq or T-Mac then Nash sure as hell should not have been suspended. Total BS by Stern and the league.

So what is the starting lineup and bench going to look like tonight? What kind of rotation are we going to be able top play tonight?

Oh man this is such BS if we lose to the Kings because of the NBA :(

Wait, so nothing for McGrady when he clearly PUSHED Nash? Yeah, can we say unfair?

Well after all, McGrady DOES have the #3 selling jersey in China you know. Stern can't tick off a whole nation that he worked so hard to cultivate a business.

I am no fan of powerful players unions (like in baseball) but my gosh the NBA players Union seems to be the most passive out of all 3 sports. I agree....the Player Union needs to step up more often.

Is it me or is David Stern becoming more dictator like every single year?

Alston should have gotten the only suspension. He is the one who is responsible for the gash in Nash's neck. He's the only one who threw (or clawed) at anybody.

If the refs had done their job in the first place and called Barnes for the hard foul on Alston, I'm sure none of this would have happened. Alston felt he had to do something about what the officials wouldn't.

He didn't push him. Slow motion replays shows that Nash tripped on his own feet and fell. That's why McGrady got nothing.
