"Me and LB can maybe get a little more playing time," Barnes said. "We're playing about 15 minutes a game and that's not helping the team at all. We're better than that. We know we can help this team. Playing 13, and LB played 19, we're not allowed to help the team.
"We don't get no rhythm out there. We don't get (stuff) done. It's frustrating. We're a lot better than our record. We're struggling in all areas. When it rains, it pours."

I think in Porter's rotation, if you are not in the starting lineup, playing time over 20 mins is doubtful.

His point is very valid, it's hard to bring attention to your point when you're the biggest beneficiary.

is the team trying to get Porter fired?

Bingo. I think we have a winner.

Also Nash has played too many minutes and I think he is playing while his body is breaking down...tough Canadian but he is not indestructible. It is obvious when you think about why he looks so bad sometimes, he is hiding it but he must be playing hurt.

Just read in another thread that Nash's back acting up on him so coach has to take him out when he doesn't look hiimself out there because Nash will "go down swinging."

I like Barnes, but when you turn the ball over nearly every time you touch it and can't make a shot, you don't deserve more playing time.

Wow....here it comes. The players are going to start getting vocal. No offense to Matt...he might have a point....but he is not a leader on this team and should keep his mouth shut. Just my opinion.

Who is the leader on this team?
During the DA era i think its safe to say that it was a strong combination of D'Antoni/Nash with a hint of the old Raja.
Shaq pops into my head but i don't know....

Barnes hasn't earned his stripes in the league yet - some good streaks but not close to enough to complain about lack of PT. He looked good to start the year but I'd have to say his recent play merits short minutes. Get out there and earn them back, if you want them and that doesn't mean give in to every urge to throw a wacko pass.

Amundson plays like a leader. If half these guys played as hard as Amundson with all that talent, we'd see a better outcome.

His 2 turnovers a game are definitely a problem for someone getting those minutes. He doesn't even get stuck handling the ball much, if at all. But he is shooting 37% from three. He did improve there, so i can't bash that part of his game this year.
