Other than the underthrow for the pick he looked great. I realize it's vanilla defense and backups but he threw the ball really well and for the most part was careful.

Nice to see I was quite concerned after the 2nd game(didn't see the 3rd one).

I was impressed as well.

He has NO physical gifts tho. Arm is pretty week, not accurate enough, and kinda slow.

But his footwork is great, his technique is good, and he is cool and calm in the pocket. He knows where to go with the ball too.

I really like our QB core this year.

Out of all the year's for Mitch to call for our 3rd stringer to start, this would be the one with the most talent, IMO. (Just a little ribbing Mitch. :D )

He has improved to a 3rd string emergency QB in the NFL.

Croyal throws a pretty ball with better arm strengnth, I think Croyal is better if he had more time in the system.

I wouldn't let Brodie back up my truck. If he's better than Bartel, we've got huge, huge, huge problems if Kolb goes down. Out of curiosity, did you use the same system to grade Croyle that put Leinart into the THESMEL Hall of Fame?

I think Leinart was graded higher for his completion percentage, so I think Bartel is safe by that standard.

I will take good technique and a good head on his shoulders over a good arm any day. We can adjust our system around his physical shortcomings, if it came to that. But we can't fix stupid (DA).

so you disagree

nice to see you can disagree with an attitude.

The Bean will be battling with Fitz for the most talented Cardinal at any position in 2011, Since Matt is gone.

Bartel can probably handle your truck, not sure, what was your critiera to determine Brodie can't back up your truck?

Last years CARD WRECK at the QB position!

Kolb is good but not great at the QB position, He supports Beanie and knows that The Bean is the key to his success this year. He may be able to carry the team toward the playoffs into next year, But their is much room for improvement at QB skillsets in this syatem.

Haven't said anything because I didn't want to spoil the luv fest, and folk like you would rather attack my opinion, than think for yourself.

I'll admit, I stacked the deck against the guy. I don't own a truck.

It's probably unreasonable to judge him based on one horrendous start last season but he hasn't looked that good since his first NFL injury. And, unfortunately, his first NFL injury wasn't his last.

Bartel was better than Quinn or Tebow.

Bartel looked like an NFL starter out there last night. I know, it wasn't against their best players but has Denver's scrubs ever made one of our Quarterbacks look like a starter before?

ok

I was impressed with how pretty his spiral was, it got their and WR's dropped it early. i mean with few reps with the Cardinals.

compared side by side with Quinn and Tebow, yea I like Brodie as a 3rd string QB. I think He can be a 2nd string on some teams.

Skelton is potentially far superior to both Cards and Denvers back ups,

And i have Orton graded higher than Kolb at this point, hope that changes but we can win with Kolb equal to Orton by the end of the season.

So disagreeing with your opinion is now attacking you? And having a differing opinion is not thinking for one's self?
Got it

I think they are all talented QB's or they wouldn't be on TV anywhere any time. I can tell you why I think so by grade and skill sets.

I expect and respect disagreement but the pattern is:

this was a stab, followed by your post, and pile on and on. You are not folk like him. yet

Well that sucks. Just got my Man Card back and they're taking it away again. I was on probation for admitting I liked Sleepless In Seattle.

To suggest that Beanie Wells and Matt Leinart are in the same stratosphere with Larry Fitzgerald in terms of talent at their position is just not a realistic assessment. At some point you need to trust what guys are showing you on the NFL field and not what they looked like coming out of college! Haven't seen any Texans games but Leinart's stats have looked decent in the box score, and hoping the best for Beanie and think he'll have a good season - but I really think his ceiling is around top 15/middle of the road for starting RB in the league. They both aren't even close to Fitz, but I'm at least holding out hope Beanie can go off this year.

I think Patrick Peterson is the only one on the roster with enough raw physical talent to even approach Fitz in terms of talent at their position -- but he clearly has a ways to go. I think Kolb has a high ceiling also, but don't think he gets all the way onto the "short list of best QBs in the league" discussion, which Fitz clearly is at WR.

I was a bit snarky, can't hardly complain if some comes back my way. Still I think Bartel has shown well this preseason and I saw nothing from Croyle that impressed me.

Richard Bartel is a better QB than Kevin Kolb. Bartel played at Tarelton State and it has simply taken him some time to adjust to the NFL, from small school college football, just like it did Andre Roberts, Greg Toler, and DRC, AND finally get an opportunity. He's the next Trent Green.

Kolb just runs around like a scared kid. As many feared we were sold a bill of goods by the Eagles.

Sorry Richard you have to take one for the team.

I don't think his arm looked weak last night.

His balls had more zip than some of the throws from Leinart last preseason.

Bartel looked very sharp. He ran the offense crisply and efficiently. His passes were all (except one I think) right on the money and catchable. He didn't try to make it all about him, but did his part within the offense and did it well.

This is the first time I have seen him with extended playing time. I am pleased. He looks like our #2 qb and I like Skelton.

Snarky, I like it ?

I'm a disabled veteran for 30 years, have survived way to may Browns and Cardinals defeats in one lifetime.

I'm not intimidated
won't be bullied
and won't be laid a hand on.

Now i'm in the red army for better and worse.

I thought Croyal was a good sign to look at, with Max and Skelton down. I think He did well on limited practice snaps and might have been better than Bartel if He had the same time and preparation on the Cards team. I don't know that, I thinkt that.

Yes Bartel looked good last night but would struggle to take a 2nd string or an emergency QB position on another team in the NFL.

Quinn and Tebow would have looked better on the Cards than on the Broncos last night. Funny thing is that Denver has a new coach and follows the same preseason philosphy as the last few coaches? what is up with that?

I don't think any cut player really had a chance to make the final 53 for Denver last night. I think they thought they did for the Cardinals.

So do you have yours eyes on any QB's on the bubble that might upgrade our QB situation?

I would have liked to have a look at Sorje this preseason, but it is like marrying an ugly woman, when she leaves, you aint out much.

I was a bit snarky, can't hardly complain if some comes back my way.
