Why, on earth, would you draft someone in the seventh that you know we could have as a udfa?

1. Jonathan Cooper, OG
2. Menelik Watson, OT
3. Tyrann Mathieu, FS
4. Alex Okafor, DE
5. Stepfan Taylor, HB
6. Nick Kasa, TE
7. Garrett Gilkey, G/T

Round #2 - I would not have traded down and thus would have picked Menelik Watson

Round #4 - we don't have the second 4th round pick to trade down and gain the additional 6th round pick. So, I would be taking Menelik Watson over Kevin Minter + Earl Watford + Ryan Swope, and yes, I am OK with that. Really liked Watson.

BTW - this is just for fun. I really like the Cardinal's draft on paper.

Changing one pick could very well affect later selections for just about every team, but I'll play.

First: I would have taken the trade offer the Rams and the Bills negotiated. From what I've read, the Rams were calling the Browns and the Cardinals, too.

1 Jarvis Jones, LB, Georgia (from Rams)
2 Arthur Brown, LB, Kansas State
2 DJ Swearinger, S, South Carolina (from Rams)
3 Terron Armstead, OT, Arkansas Pine Bluff
4 Barrett Jones, C/G/T, Alabama
4 Jonathan Franklin, RB, UCLA
5 Quanterus Smith, DE/LB, Western Kentucky
6 Barcarri Rambo, S, Georgia
6 Khalid Wooten, CB, Nevada
7 Kerwynn Williams, RB, Utah State

All I know is that I wanted Bacarri Rambo, how could you not be successful with a name like that. He fell quite a bit too.

I think the Cards passed on Arthur Brown because he's not a thumper type, which Kevin Minter is.

I am starting to question our 2nd pick more and more. Not that he isn't good. And maybe he will be another Washington type player. But I don't see him talked about by any of the writers as being a great pick or top impact player. I do continually see others who we passed on for him that are continually spoken of as great picks and great 2nd round prospects. Just makes me wonder if we couldn't have made a better choice. Time will tell. Trust in our new coaching staff.

Most of the pre draft rankings I saw either had Minter as the best ILB or 2nd best ILB in the draft. I scoured the web for about 30 minutes or so and I found maybe 2 that had Brown rated higher and the other 20 or so were 50/50 between Minter and Te'o.

Id find a way to fit in Schwenke and at least one if not two of Phillip Thomas / Shamarko Thomas and/or Baccari Rambo. The player I'd remove from our draft frist to fit one of these in would be Honey Badger, second would be Watford

I would have taken Schwenke over Watford, but not Jones over Watford. I think the Cards played that one perfectly. They were likely hoping Schwenke would make it to them and when he got picked by someone else they traded back knowing that their next guy would likely be there and that was Watford. To those that wanted Jones it just wasn't going to happen because he isn't the athletic type guard that they are looking for.

How about yours?

1. Jonathan Cooper, OG -great pick
2. Minter ILB - good pick
3. T M - good pick
4. Barett Jones - best inside blocker who could have been our center -easily
4. Earl Watford, OG - replaces College within one year...maybe this year..camp will tell.
5. Stephon Taylor
6. your mom
6. your mom
7. your mom

I'm not sure who in the 6th and 7th as it's a crap shoot.

My draft would have altered our O line into solid form

Levi - still at LT, but I'd be working on a deal for Albert or free agent
Cooper
Barett Jones
Watford - or I'd prefer to sign Brandon Moore to a long term deal as he's AWESOME
RT - prefer to move Levi to RT and keep Massie at backup.
