Based on BA&SK's Combine interviews, here's a summary of their thoughts with some of my own interpretations (in parentheses):

QB:

* Glad to have Palmer back.
* If the "guy we want is there, I think we'll pull the trigger" (BA) (Watson? Kizer? Trubisky? Mahomes? Webb?)
* "5-6 really good arms" -- "hard to evaluate the heart and the head" (BA)
* "I don't like to groom a guy for a year" (BA)

RB:

* "I like Kerwynn---he always produces when we put him in there. I like the young guy Penny too---we need to add to the room, hopefully a guy who can contribute on STs." (BA)
* " I want Chris Johnson back -- that's up to Chris." (BA)
* "I'd like to find another David Johnson." (SK) i.e. a RB who can carry the ball, motion into pass routes and line up in the slot as receiver. (Christian McCaffrey? Dalvin Cook? Curtis Samuel? Wayne Gallman?)

WR:

* Happy to have Fitz back.
* Want John Brown and Jaron Brown back to full strength.
* J.J. had a "really good finish."

TE:

* Want Gresham and Fells back.

OL:

* Want A.Q. back---he "played really well."
* Want to work Boehm and Toner at guard and center.

DL:

* Happy to re-sign Josh Mauro.
* We kept 9 DL in preparation for losing CC to FA.
* We expect Rodney and Robert to step up.
* We like young DL Williams and Pierre.

LB:

* "I expect Deone Bucannon to have a breakout season." (SK)

CB:

* Want Coop back, but he's going to get big money. BA
* Remain high on Brandon Williams and Justin Bethel, who is healthy now -- "first time in 2 years Bethel will be in training camp." (BA)

S:

* Expect TJ to make big money---"hopefully he keeps the chip on his shoulder when he gets paid." BA
* Mathieu back to the box -- has been packing on muscle -- been working out every day.

K:

* Catanzaro "very talented" (BA), but will get pushed by competition in camp.

Notes:

* "Other than in live goal-line at practice, we never tackled." (BA) (No wonder -- unreal) "We will tackle this year in TC."
* "I just call the plays -- the assistants do most of the work." (Part of the problem -- BA needs to be more hands on in coordinating the offense or the offense might still struggle to get in full sync.)
* With regard to rookies BA said: "Our job is to adjust and not criticize when teaching younger players." (sounds like BA has done some soul searching on this -- he said that they knew what they had in D.J. Humphries, but he had never played in a huddle or in a RT stance or had to understand play calls and what to do -- "we knew he had the heart" he said -- which seems odd given BA's treatment of DJH as a rookie and the fact that BA&SK made a last ditch effort to re-sign RT Bobby Massie when he was negotiating with the Bears -- regardless, BA looks more excited and poised to develop his young players more positively and effectively.)

* Sounds extremely clear that they expect CC, TJ and MC to sign elsewhere. Sounds like offers have been sent to AQ and Chris Johnson.

I read somewhere that Chris johnson want play in a different system with a different role.
He wont be back
I like kerwynn as running back number 3, but he is a liability as a blocker

I like conner from the draft

I saw today that arizona had an interview with kamara..has some knee issues, nothing serious but affected his college career
He is a rb who can play 3 downs and has good catching ability

I'm glad that it sounds like they're not going to overpay Calais and Tony. If this were 2014-15 I'd have no problem paying CC top-3 money at his position.

How does Jones' franchise tag leave us with the cap?

I'm getting more and more sold on taking McCaffrey in the 1st. He just fills too many needs, and unlike some of the other not-ready-for-primetime guys they've taken in the 1st the past few years, the kid is a solid gamer and smart as hell, and will earn his way onto the field in Week 1 for whomever drafts him. Can supplement DJ at RB, including putting both of them in at times to create nightmare matchup issues, instantly becomes a huge upgrade at both PR & KR, and would be the natural heir apparent to Fitz's slot position moving forward. How the hell do you defend him and DJ both in the game, shifting around with either having the ability to line up wide and go deep? Absolute matchup nightmare!

Williams is garbage on special teams, which is why he never gets signed as a #3

Horrible on special teams , but what they can pretend if he is used in the wrong way?
I still wondering why they used him some time as main blocker during punts
How can he block players 80 lb heavier?

The way I heard it explained is that you need that extra blocker to be able to match the quickness of the DBs coming off the edge or up the middle. That's why everybody uses a RB or similiar.

The funny thing about that last blocked FG with Williams, he probably would have been a good matchup if he made the right block. He was supposed to block the guy coming up the middle, which was a smallish DB. But he went left and left the inside completely open for the block. So in this case, it wasn't a size issue, but a mental error. I probably would have used Taylor instead. I wonder if he wasn't dressed?

I think that he was injured?

cutting Washington bethel branch stanton peters would give an important relief to our cap salary

Iupati is not worth being traded cause he ll have a significant cap hit
Plus if he is healthy he is really good

Bethel is not getting cut. They still believe in him as his foot is finally healthy and he played very well in the last game or two of the season.

This - he played well at the end, and incredibly surprising, it better at inside than at outside CB. That actually makes finding a CB2 easier as we have two strong inside CB in Mathieu and Bethel; plus keeps the rep count down for Bethel so he can stay winded for ST play.

I tend to agree but there was a lot of that sentiment when Dockett was let walk too. Better a year early than late and saddled with a big contract. I remember Richard Seymour going from excellent to a bum in about a year's time.

the difference here is that the D proved for a year in Dockett's absence that it could do without him. I'm leery of what the loss of Campbell means in our all or nothing year but if he gets a MONDO deal, our hands are kinda tied.

really? I remember him getting toasted on big plays repeatedly against Miami (especially giving up the ultimate game-winner 30 harder that put the fins in chip-shot territory) and both he and Williams getting absolutely abused in the second half against the Hags. Playing "well" against the Rams isn't saying much.

I'm just hoping they're not depending on him for that 2nd CB slot... or Williams. That's a recipe for disaster and a sign of not learning their lesson from last year.

I didn't see the Dolphins game and it wasn't one of the last two of the season. Bethel made several big plays against the Hags and got beat for a TD on an excellent pass towards the corner of the end zone.

Bethel still needs to improve but he isn't getting cut and showed improvement.

agree to disagree on "showed improvement" but I agree he's not getting cut.
