And he did very well as a pass blocker as well.

Beanie seems like a good kid; always smiling and down to earth. But yesterday he was running like a madman - he looked pissed. To the point that he got an unsportsmanlike penalty - I thought he had thrown a punch and was gonna get ejected but it was an open hand. Whew!

Then in the post game interview, he was back to being the smiling, good kid :p

"Oh man, that was terrible," Wells said. "I've never in my life got mad like that on the field because I'm always smiling. That's one of the times I wasn't smiling."

That's what I mean. It was like he was running because HE guaranteed a W.

His best game as a Rook. And we definitely needed it yesterday! 26 HAS ARRIVED AND DELIVERED AN IMPACT!

Grown and skowl all you want but Beanie has been a major work in progress this year and still is far from his potential (AS WE ALL KNOW).Yes he's had problems earlier this year in pass blocking and thats why he has'nt seen much of the field till recently.

If you can't stand the truth then be nasty about it.I've watched it closely and Beanie is coming along very well in his pass blocking as he is in his recieving skills. If he had it all down from the start,we'd have seen much more of him from the begining.TRUTH HURTS.

Beanie never had to do two things at OSU....Block or Catch thanks to the vest.Whiz has taught him how to do both now and is finally slowly releasing him on the NFL.

Shame I don't have control over all the game films and can back up my thoughts with pictures that make it so much easier for some.Beanie is a major work in progress as many others have said also. He's in a new body also. Thanks coach Lott. One I hope is more durable too.We did'nt have many rushers to pick up yesterday also with the better play of the offensive line.seattle was playing 7 deep most of the game and not a blitzer in sight to pick up.

I stand by my years of studying film. Its hard to see what little the tv affords in the way a game is shown. Not always easy to watch one player.

I'm glad for the CARDINALS that Beanie is learning now and growing in his skills as a well rounded NFL STUD.

Dude is an 18-wheeler with Porsche handling. He is amazing to watch run. Healthy, I truly believe he is one of the best backs in the NFL.

Ditto! A guy in my section knows someone who "knows" Beanie. He went on to say that the Beanie we see today is not anywhere close to the Beanie that played at Ohio St! Mentally, and even more so physically, he has completely changed.
Regarding his body, apparently Lott has worked wonders with Beanie! He's dropped weight, added muscle and reduced his body fat by some ridiculous amount! The guy said that if you didn't know what Beanie looked like from the neck up, you wouldn't recognize him as his body has changed so significantly!!

He can and WILL dominate this league!!!

And he gets up to his top speed so quick. He gets those feet moving man.

He is special. I feel bad for TH. I know that TH would kick my ass just for saying that, but its true.

I mean checking down to Beanie is a completly different propostion than throwing to TH.

Beanie is freaking dangerous.

Whenever they hand off to Beanie I scream out "The Bean Bag!". When TH gets the ball I yell out "Here comes Velcro". TH just never makes the first guy that touch him miss.

The first TD run was a great example of what Beanie gives you that TH just cant--

the quick cut and then acceleration

TH probably gets the first down, but then is tackled. Beanie got the TD

It was interesting to see Beanie on the video boards after the game...it is usually Coach Whisenhunt. He sure looks like he's in good shape. I was impressed.

Wells two TD performance was the 6th time from 2004-2009 that a Cards RB has rushed for two scores in one game.

Oddly enough it was a different RB every time. ESmith, Ayanbadejo,Shipp,James,Hightower and now Beanie. I'm betting it won't be CW's last.

I love Hightower and as posted earlier in this thread, he is an invaluable cog in our machine. However...

Beanie is special. You can even see it in how his teammates react when he's in there and makes his move. He has "it" which cannot be taught or learned.

The best part of Beanie is his personality. I loved how he handled his first real post game attention. Anyone else see the pattern that whiz has in bringing in players with the right attitudes and personas?

I love how when Beanie touches the rock you can just feel the crowd get into it. Also, I'm having a hard time understanding the Hightower hate. Beanie being great doesn't mean Hightower sucks....

Here is a great read from the East Valley Tribune!

http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/147217

“You see guys out there. They don’t want to tackle him,” wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald said. “We laugh sometimes because as the game wears on you start seeing guys ducking their heads and turning their shoulders. He’s strong, man. He’s got grown man strength.”

This is great. You beat up the DBs with Wells and then they don't have the energy to stay with your wide outs.

Texas used to do that with Ricky Williams and Benson and is trying it again now with Cody Johnson.

I can't remember the last time I genuinely had the feeling a Cardinal RB was capable of breaking off a huge run every time he touches the ball. Finally!

Whatever happened to all the anti-Beanie "big ten backs are slow and suck, Beanie is soft" guys from draft time? I never see any of them on here eating crow.

Nope. They just move on to other bold predictions.

Don't remember them from draft time either. Most people on this board were happy with the selection if I remember correctly.

Most were, but there were a few that didn't want or like Wells. I'm not going to bump any threads but it is an easy search.
