I dunno... his legs look a little thin under that massive top half of his body...
Hope that means he actually is faster than many seem to believe...

I agree look at his left calf muscle on the bottom pic while using it during the cut. Does he even have one?

His legs really are definitely small for a 235 pound running back, but Lott and co surely have 4 months of lower body workouts in store for him..so I'm not too worried.

So I have a question. Does anyone not named Q ever excite you?

You seem to have been nitcpicking/glass half empty alot more lately - or maybe I just hadn't noticed before?

What that wasn't obvious last year with the team do you have actual hope for this year?

I am not attacking you - it just seems like you aren't sold on much of anything the team is doing anymore....

Lots about this team excites me. About the only thing I don't like at this point is cutting hood.

I love many players on this team such as: Wilson, Hayes, DD, DRC, Hightower, Fitz, Warner, Stevey B. Etc.... I think the team is a legit contender. I rarely get excited about any rookies no matter how high profile! I like to wait and see there character on the field and level of play before I annoint them.

The only thing Im not excited about really is the future of Matt Leinart as it relates to being a franchise QB.

BTW: Am I supposed to be excited and say hes a monster too when I see him blowing through air? Or give an opinion that his legs are huge and muscular when they are anything but?

He definitely needs to add some meat to his legs. Looks a lot better in 26 than 36.

Whats the size of his legs got to do with anything?

The only thing id want him to change is for him to plow through defenders instead of running out of bounds.

That is all. :)

I'm guessing some time with John Lott will help and it hasn't seemed to keep him from plowing over guys during college (obviously diffrent game but hes never been a "finesse" back"

It just seems when some posters are excited or have hope about the future of a player you have been swooping in to be the pessimistic POV.

More power too you. I just think not getting excited about certain players or rookies or even a teams potential is a sad way to go about being a fan.

But the Cardinals have beat out the hope of a lot of us.

Successful backs have thick legs.

Im plenty excited. I dont think agreeing with another poster about the size of Beanies legs is being pessimistic. I didnt go on to say I think it will hinder him at this level or I think he will be a bust because of it (because I dont).

I just gave a brief observation based on those pictures. Nor have I been pessimistic about any other player other than Matt Leinart. Mostly to you during a long running debate :D

All of the rooks I have a definitive wait and see attitude. Like I did with Q when he was drafted as well as Fitz and DRC (although admittedly I didnt initially like that pick) but now I love it and him!

On field play at this level determines my enthusiasm for a player. Not pictures at a mini camp 3 1/2 months prior to the season.

My feelings can be summed up for teh rookies the same way they are for ML. Hopeful but not overly optimistic. Although if we keep drafting like we have been and have some more playoff runs/seasons that might change.

Also I do tend to get excited about certain players when they start to perform in actual training camp with pads on. You really start to see what they might do at this level at that point. My favorite thing about TC and why I go for a week or more every year is watching the rookies!

Ya I dont get it either.. If thats the case and leg size was the determining all factor, then this dude should never have been drafted much less even be allowed to step on a football field.. Seems like an oddball thing (leg size)to point out is all..
