I like the Spring Cleaning!

+1

I cannot remember the last time the Cardinals cleaned the house this thoroughly.

Still got a host of offensive linemen to sweep out the door, IMO........ oh and one completely over-paid QB.

If I am Jeff King, O'Brien Schofield, or Jay Feely I shouldn't be feeling too comfortable right now......and of course Kolb hasn't been comfortable for months.

Another first round pick sent packing. And we wonder why we are in such a bad situation. Good Chris Wells, hopefully you can further your career somewhere else.

It is just never good when you can justify cutting your former first round pick when he in under 30. At least the bar isn't set high for Steve Keim.

Wow, not to claim I am an expert, but of the draft picks we have made since 2007 the only one I have liked was Patrick Peterson. We will see how long Dan Williams lasts. What a joke.

To be fair they were pretty late 1st rounders. Our earlier ones have been better. For what he had in front of him Beannie was effective enough for the time we had him. I think the org. was still smarting from the passing of AP a couple yrs. before and were feeling some heat. Never a good recipe to follow feeling pressured. It's never good to just target one position or need. PP was the best of both BPA over need. They have been better at BPA over need in other rounds as well.

Wow no LSH and no Beanie Wells. I do think we must feel pretty good about our chances to sign someone.

Bush? Jackson? Jackson didn't discount it and said he'd be playing with a good friend with Fitz if he came here. (when Jackson was on TV, can't remember if it was ESPN of NFLN now a couple days ago)

I've decided to save Thesmel (and everyone else) some time:

Feed the BEan it's Wiz's fault
I had him ranked 456 on the Leenart scale of players who have gotten screwed by the Cards
He's JimBroWN. But better.
FO should trade our 1stpick for Matty so we can
WIN
Beanie will be a FIRST ballot HOFer and the Cards will be sorry But That's How ewe do it
Don't blame me Im a fan since 1923 and BLEED Beanie red.

........Rinse........ Repeat........For the next three seasons.

You're welcome, Thesmel!

Keim/Arians are spending their time cleaning up the mess left behind by Graves/Whiz. I feel it will be a one-year rebuilding project this season.

I just hope the team has some plans as to how to make this team appear competitive this season. As it stands, we have nothing on offense and holes on defense. Makings of a 3-13 team, at the moment.

Back away from the ledge Thesmel...or have you already set fire to UoP Stadium & the facility on Hardy Dr? ;):D;)

My question is if the Cards dumped Beanie, why not dump little Sweetness? At least Beanie has done something on the NFL field.

Boy, what an instant facelift this team has gotten in just 1 week & the lines are still bad on this face they call an NFL team...4-12 here we come! Kolb is next!

IMO it's more than a 1 year house cleaning...and yes 3-5 wins are staring us in the face! Unless we get a franchise QB, BA will be axed by year 3 the way things look.

That is a load of crap. Even if you draft at the end of the first round, you have to be able to identify 32 players who can stick on your team long term at least the majority of the time. I understand that is a very simplistic view of things, but is also the reality. This is why we struggle, why Graves was fired and why I am skeptical of Keim as he was part of the group that made these decisions. We are a joke until we can prove otherwise IMO.

Nah. This isn't the NBA, where it takes 3-4 years to remake a team. An NFL team can be broken down and brought back up in one full season. Cincinnati does this all of the time.

We need two rb's so what if we got Jackson AND Bush.

Though it would be more likely to get Mendenhall and Bush, which wouldn't be too shabby either.

Of course, in reality I hope we get at least one of the three.

Agreed. Now we need to get a starting QB, RB, OG, DE, SILB, WOLB, 3 CBs and a SS. 2013 is looking great.

(For the record, I am ok with cutting Wells, but pissed off we have put ourselves in this position.)

I don't expect a Thomas Jones-like revenge career from Beanie, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a Cedric Benson-type career in his next contract. He'd fit in with a number of teams. Not only Cincy but also Green Bay, Detroit, the Giants, and Tennessee.

For those bemoaning not picking BPA with the 31st pick in the NFL draft, whom would you have taken with that choice? The guy we really wanted was Donald Brown.

This team is going to look like those luxury condos "in construction" next to Chandler Fashion Center on Pecos and Price.

Here is hoping for a Chris Ivory signing

He was given a 2nd round tender by the Saints. We could make them a trade offer for less than that, but acquiring him got a lot trickier and more expensive.

Yes... Cincinnati. The team with 0 division championships in recent memory. I hope that's not the template put on the whiteboard on Hardy Drive.

At least Cards fans can rest easy that one of the decision-makers behind drafting Beanie Wells is now the head man in charge of replacing him.

Damn, when did that happen? I dont think they will come off him even though they have a crowded backfield

We don't have a QB and I don't see the next Kurt Warner waiting to be signed. We are fighting for the number 1 pick at this point, and will continue to do so until we get a front office who can hit on more 1st rounders than they miss on.

I disagree...The Bungles at least have had decent QB play & they haven't cleaned house like this since before the Lewis era. I think it's a longggg road back for this team & part of that is because of who's in our division.

I like Ivory, but not for anything more than a 5th.

At this rate, I'm curious as to how the Bush negotiations go even though I'm not his biggest fan. Someone remind him that San Diego is a 5 1/2 hour drive from Phoenix.

Maybe the Cards could throw in a house for his parents? :D

And only 1 playmaker on offense who's getting taken out of games easily & an offensive unit thats slower than the corpse of a turtle.

Let's Remember the REAL Victim Here...

JimO, who is going to have to produce a new opening for Cardinals Underground that mentions neither Beanie Wells nor LaRod Stephens-Howling.

Every year he has to re-cut that promo, because we keep cutting ties with our playmakers.
