Yeah signing Stanton as our QB along with tendering Hoyer & adding them to a mix of Skelton & Lindley has me wanting to buy season tix right now & fly out to every home game this year. IMO without a franchise QB it's a longggggggg crawl out of the lava pit this team has been thrown into & hopefully BA doesn't get his legs burned off & get fired before we rise out of this hell hole.

That's not conting the poopoo we call an Oline & running off the best DC probably in the history of the franchise! Yep I'm excited for all 4 wins we have next year lol

Absofreakinglutely!!! I think he's doomed from the start given the lack of talent at 3 of the 4 most important positions in the NFL...QB, LT & OLB (edge rusher) & that's not even talking about a putrid Oline all around & lack of RBs.

I get the feeling (without any hard proof) that the old Cardinal regime wasn't enamored by Beanie's or LSH's pass blocking and the new coaching staff may consider this a significant part of pass pro looking forward. Thus - Buh-Bye Beanie and Howler.

One other thought - Shonn Green fits the role of Thumper Back that I think the Cards may be looking for.

To be fair to LSH, how often was he asked to pass protect? He was usually our running routes himself.

Beanie? Not so much.

It's common knowledge that pass protection is a weak spot on the resume for Wells. Then again, Wells had two things working against him:

#1 - Grimm probably tossed a book at Wells and told him to figure out the blocking scheme himself.

#2 - Wells never learned to read since he went to OSU

That's a pet peeve of mine. If blocking is main concern, draft a guard and put him back there. Draft a RB to run the ball and the rest is gravy. Does anyone care if Adrian Peterson or Arian Foster can block?

I agree. If you are going to call pass plays 65% of the time like Arians has and not throw the ball to backs then why not just use another offensive lineman?

I've said it in another thread, but Shonn Greene is just terrible - so bad that it would confirm me not renewing my season tickets. He is nothing but a backup in this league at the very best.

Beanie was hardly ever in on passing downs, so he was never really in the position to put out tape on whether he could pass block or not. I've seen him absolutely cold-**** some guys. Other times he'd make a bad read and pick up an inside guy who was just about to get locked up by the center, or mis-read a stunt.

I have posted this before- but I think Beanie is done as an NFL player. I think whatever happened to his knee is an injury that has robbed him of the strength to cut hard on that leg or explode off of it.

He will be in a camp in the fall, but I think he doesn't make it to final cuts.

You're more likely to be right than wrong. But then there once was KVB who was injured so badly past the point of no return that he became a Pro Bowl player after we released him. With regard to making the right decisions about rehabbing from injuries, the Cardinal FO tends to be more wrong than right (It's a Cardinal thing).

That is a load of crap. Even if you draft at the end of the first round, you have to be able to identify 32 players who can stick on your team long term at least the majority of the time. I understand that is a very simplistic view of things, but is also the reality. This is why we struggle, why Graves was fired and why I am skeptical of Keim as he was part of the group that made these decisions. We are a joke until we can prove otherwise IMO.

Whoa, easy fella. Fact is Beannie can play in this league. Always could. They are just at a point where it makes sense to move along. They got what they could, when they could. Facts are you just can't compete without the top signal callers. At least not playoffs wise. Moreno who was picked ahead of Wells hasn't set the NFL on fire. Brown picked just ahead is a bust. Such is the draft, an inexact science. Everyone has misses in the 1st. Early, mid, late.

WEED THE BEAN! Yea I'm disturbed- Can't replace the Beans talent when healthy - but he has not stayed healthy, I think He is the 2nd most talented player on our offense- behind Fitz- And some team will build their offense around the 3rd 1st round RB released by the Cardinals since they came to Arizona. Hearst and T Jones were practically the same scenario- dropped after injury plagued rookie contract. The Rams may Ride the Bean right over us- surprised he wasn't worth a draft pick?

Pittsburg reduced carries under Arians, went to the quicker blocking back rather than power back that is the engine on offense- Hello Fitz and Floyd you are now our engines on offense - Get er done!

I will fan for Beanie- but not in the division - nor against My Cardinals. Like I did for Hearst and Jones.
