Come on in and take a moment to reflect on those players who have been with us for many seasons:

  • Raja Bell: He gave us the edge we so desperately needed for many seasons. In his career in the valley of the sun, he locked in the most 3 pointers in the league in a single season, and the prestigious NBA All Defensive First Team honor. He had everyone's back on the team and was probably Nash's best friend through the years. He knew his role and played it well. Team needs later exposed his limits and a new direction had to be taken.

  • Boris Diaw: Played his heart out for 3/4 of a season to lock in the Most Improved Player Award and proceeded to steal his earnings for the next 3 seasons via blatant underperformance, sub-par efforts, and rancid pacifism.

We thank them for their service and wish them the best of luck in the future.

Bell would of been a nice back up. Diaw has a tone of talent with no fire.

Great trade.

In a van...down by the river.
Raja Bell: First & foremost.....thanks for clotheslining Kobe's arrogant a$$ on national TV.....and for going 110% every night....as well as hitting some big shots for this team over the last few years. Best of luck in the future.
Boris: Um...well.....see ya. Thanks for stepping up during '05-'06 and teasing us all with your abilities only to get paid & play like a girl after that.
Singletary: Good luck young man.

I probably have the opposite feelings of most people here, I'm so glad to see Bell go, the guy is a scum bag and an arrogant a-hole. I hate his tough guy antics and machismo. Diaw has a boatload of talent but never was able to capitalize on it, it frustrated a lot of people but in a way captivated me, if Larry Brown can find a way to turn his switch (extremely unlikely) he could be quite good.

I will definately miss Bell, he was a warrior these last few years that is for sure. In the old SSOL system he bought into it and played his heart out for years and brought such great memories with his performances and antics out on the court. The fire just wasn't there this year though, so it was time.

Diaw...well..uh...I think they make pretty good pastry in C-town. The nightlife though I haven't heard much about, definately nowhere near arizona's more crazy club parts which he seemed to have a pretty good shirtless time at (and of which an entire popular website is dedicated to those very tacky arizona exploits with some posts even featuring the frenchie himself!). Sucks for you! Sucker!

I'm going to miss Bell a lot.

Diaw too. Who can forget that 30 point game and game winning shot he had against the Mavs in the playoffs?

Even if it does improve us, I'm still sad to see it happen. You guys realize now that there are only players left from our wonderful 2006 year? The year that was so special they wrote a book about it. Nash and Barbosa.

Both of these guys are among my favorite players, and I wish them the best. I will definitely watch more Bobcats' games now.
Raja is a great example of how much you can acomplish with hard work. He's been one of my favorite players since his days in Philli.
Diaw may be one of the most talented players in the league. I hope that he starts playing hard and becomes more aggressive. I really believe he can be an all-star in this league.

Best of luck to both of them.

The '05-'06 team was the only recent Suns team where all the guys seemed to like each other.

raja didnt back down from anyone/anything. I love the fire he brought. he will forever be one of my favorite suns.

boris man do you realize how close you were to being half of phoenixs favorite player. I know you needed the ball to put up those numbers like you did in 2006. and i know that alot of people cant wrap their head around that fact.. but youre overpaid and underperforming.

good luck boys.

While I am a new fan, I wanted to say I will miss Bell and Diaw as well. Bell was our best defender and at times Diaw seemed awesome.

If Bell hadn't gotten hurt against Dallas, the Suns might have made it to the "victory lap" round against the Heat.

I will always like raja as a player. he played tough, he gave his all, and he did a lot of dirty work for us. His contributions didn't always show up in the box score, but he was huge through all of our successes and few of our failures. Sad to see him go, I'll always miss having him on a team I like.

Diaw has all the potential in the world to be one of the premier forwards in the league, and i appreciate what he did in amare's absence in that post-season. But i can't say i'll really miss the guy when he never gave his all for us after his career year. Goodbye Diaw.

Actually Raja's toughness is what I liked about him as a player. Too bad he seemingly lost his fire after he took down Kobe. I wish Raja well. He was the heart of the Suns a few seasons back.

In regard to Diaw, he had all the basketball talent in the world... too bad he couldn't put it on the floor every night.

i do admire Bell for his hard work. he came from almost nothing to becoming a good defender(not this & last year though) and good 3pt shooter. sadly this is a business, it was time to let him go.

diaw...provided one good season with Stat out. that was it. underacheiving and overpaid. i dont know if anyone/anything can ever light a fire under his ass.
