We have seen some preety good backs so far this year andfor the most part we have stopped them. We beat ourselves against Balt and played lousy vs Dallas and Seattle. That being said our defense has changed over the last couple of weeks and it has not been so bad up to now. We have three keys that the Bengles have not been too aware of, maybe some after last weeks film and that is a new starter on the line DJ, Kenny King back from injury did not play up till last week and Bryant ready for the kill. This is not the D that went up against the people we fell to.

If we play up to last week and not beyond (We should only get better now from week to week), I think we have a good chance to win on Sunday. Another point, Our O-line played together last week for the first time in almost two years. They blew up the 49 D-line. Now I don't know the Bengles that well but I venture a guess that they are maybe as good as the Niners line, maybe a tad better or worse no matter if we play our game.

We will see and will go on from there.

Is Warrick still doing any special teams?

Chad Johnson has been playing better than TO this year. He's up there in the top 4 with Moss, Holt, and Harrison. And he's played consistently well all season. Warrick muffed a punt either in the Balt. or Seattle game and wasn't seen returning punts after that. He did have a 50 yard end around run against the Seahawks.

Let me ask yuou this Renz - have you seen Johnson play during this season? Now have you seen Scobey play against live defenses or Anderson play against anyone but last week or his stellar game of 20 carries for 59 yards vs. Carolina last year? I think it's ridiculous talking about players that people haven't seen play and assuming our guys are better than them simply because they are our guys (because that's all it possibly could be considering we haven't seen our guys tested in the the NFL).

I mean by saying that Johnson would be our 4th running back on a team which carries only three to start - it's basically saying that Johnson couldn't even make our roster - now don't you think that is just a tad bit ridiculous in the least?

maybe hes just talking a little smack cheesey. Would you mind not sticking up for the bungles fans? ok?

Timely article given our discussions...........says exactly what I suspect our boys feel as well. This really should be an exciting game.........a battle between historic cellar- dwellers.

You have one win in a row and we have two. Hopefully the Bengals will have their eyes adjusted to the light quicker than you guys do. Coming out of the cellar that is...

I do wish you guy luck after this game though. I hope your team gets on a winning streak starting in the second week of November.:)

Anyone have any idea of the condition of the field? I would really hate to see anyone get hurt due to the amount of traffic that was put on this field over the last week. Is it known to be in good shape usually?

Sun Devil Stadium has been recognized by players all through the league as having the "best" grass/field conditions in the league.

Spanky:

Sun Devil Stadium came in 2nd, behind only Tampa Bay's Raymond James Stadium, in last January's NFLPA poll. SDS may be an antiquated facility, but it has a great playing surface.

WC

WC,

I am guilty of hyperbole...........as in the origional Cheech and Chong album........"baliff, whack his pee-pee".

On the Cardinals new stadium being chosen to host the 2008 SB, congratulations Glendale. I was living in Scottsdale as this whole debate was raging and had a preference for an East Valley site selection. Now I think the decision to build the stadium in Glendale was the right one. It will balance the overall valley's growth and spread attractions to each corner of the metropolitan area. I'm hearing that this Long dude with his vast land holdings in the area is planning for a lot of development and what with the hockey arena being built nearby, Glendale will be able to compete for other growth engines like hotels, resorts and non smoke stack industry.

I promise to relocate back there when they can put the whole area under a dome and air condidtion the entire metropolitan area!
