Tice's comment.....it's all about production and Moore has produced. IMO, Bennett could be had. Now, I wouldn't offer them a whole heck of a lot (max a 4th round pick) but he is Green's boy, knows the system etc.

That's be great, but there's no way Minnesota lets him go for a 4th...or even a 3rd (which is what I'd give up for him).

I'd give them a #3 and maybe a player(Clement?) Bennett would fit right in. If Bennett was a free agent next year this would have a better chance of going down. The Vikings would be happy to get anything. But I don't think he is.

Can you imagine this site if the Cards were to pull off a trade like that?

Tell me a little about Bennett's attraction.

He's fast and he is not only is familiar with Green's offense but also very effective in it.

I'd say his only knock is his propensity for injury. When he's healthy he's a really good back.

3-4 for Bennet is way to high. I don't think he has been healty for one full season. I would see a 5-6 pick but that is it.

His second year he was healthy and produced. His third year he got some freak foot accident and cost him half a season..this season he took a hit in a game that injured his knee.

The dude is fast and definately can still make an impact.

Bennett speed will open up this offense and will back off those safety out of the box. I'll trade our 4th rounder next year for Bennett.

Who would you compare him most to - McAllister from NO?

I don't think bennett is at mcallisters level because of the toughness issue. I do worry about bennett dealing with hammy problems because of being a "speed" guy.

homerun level though - bennett is always a threat to break one like mcallister.

I think that Onterrio Smith is their most productive back.
He's also more durable.

dude's fast and seam runner. he was also (if i'm not mistaken) a draft pick of denny's. he's built in the robert smith mold. homerun hitter. would instantly add another dimension to this offense. def has injury concerns, but he's a big upgrade over anyone on our roster.

not as strong or powerful as deuce. right now i'm hardpressed to find an equivalent in the league. he's prolly one of the fastest rbs in the league, even coming off injury. he's a slasher. he hits a seam, and bam, he's gone. not a great deal of wiggle and not powerful.

Yea - he had that one big year. He'd be intriguing if he could be more durable.

I'd say a 4th and a player - Clement.

Trading players is difficult because if you do you assume their bonus money over the life of the remaining contract in this seasons cap. Otherwise, I believe that Thompson and Clement would be gone by now. This is why you see so many trades that include draft picks in subsequent drafts versus player for player.

Bennet is perhaps the fastest player in the NFL. He was going to try out for the Olympics in the 100 and 4x100 if I remember correctly. His times were faster than 3 or 4 of the athletes that represented us there. He decided since he was injured last year that he should focus on football and declined to try out for the squad.

He looked really good in preseason before the hit to his knee (McKinnie I think was blocked into it in the open field... freak thing), and there is not a chance in the world the Cardinals would get Bennet for a 3rd round pick.
