Maybe I shouldn't do this but, let me make an introduction:

Bertrand Berry meet the Mirror, Mirror this is Bertrand.

Sorry Bert but if you subtract out the OAK game, you haven't done squat all year. Many times I wondered if you wre even playing in the game.

As for the Chemistry thing, well, maybe someone (you?) should have stepped up in the preseason and taken over a vocal leadership role rather than waiting until the 1-7 start to suddenly hop on your high horse and call people out.

Psst: Denny is at fault Bert, the sad thing is you choose to not hold him accountable in the same way he holds very few on this team accountable.

the sad thing is you probably care more about the team than any of the players do and you are bagging on one of the few who actually gives a damn.

sorry your team is full of losers, it sucks but it's true.

You know what, Berry did admit during the interview that he has bit his toung for to long. At least he is man enough to admit that and is now going to try and do something about it. I haven't seen anyone else on the team step up and do this.

I'm just glad that at least someone on the Cardinals is pissed off and trying to do something about it. I agree that Denny at fault for most of this but to say it's purely Denny's fault just isn't true. The players need to do their part also.

I think it' s a mixed bag. It's great that Berry is trying to be a leader, and that he cares. It sucks that he aired it in public BEFORE having a team players meeting, and by not naming names it leads to speculation. If you have the players only meeting first, and get it all out there, at least the guys you WANT to call out, know it.

We all see it though. Several of us commented on Rolle's hystrionics after Moss dropped an easy pass on 3rd down forcing a punt. You'd have thought Rolle made the best play in the history of playing CB, and all he did is watch his man wide open for a first down, drop a ball.

We've seen that sort of thing in several games, not just hammering on Rolle we've seen Pace and several others do it. We've seen Griffith and Wilson celebrating big hits, 15 yards downfield after a first down. We've seen players laughing and smiling as the clock ticks down in a game we're losing etc.

But I am glad that Berry is trying to be a leader and that he cares. What's weird is that Okeafor is NOT talking out? Remember when he signed with us he specifically cited the attitude here as being better than in Seattle, said he'd been critical in the past of players in Seattle not working hard, not loving the game enough, that he felt "alone" there because he worked so hard and they didn't. So here we are 2 years later, they were in the Superbowl last year, haven't missed him at all, we are 1-7 and he's one of the least productive most OVER paid players on our roster.

Rolle is one guy I do not question. After the GB game he didnt crack a smile signing auto's. He seemed truely angry that he had a bad game and that the cards lost. Gimme more like that.

His play will improve. And I think he would be an All Pro FS.

You really had to hear the entire show to understand where Berry was coming from. He was so pissed off at the attitude of several of the players this week. Berry basically said, Hey we are 1-7 we should be working out how we are going to fix this before we go off and have fun. He went on to say, Yet this week we have people more concerned where they are going during the bye week than trying to fix what is going on here.

Those aren't exact quotes but you can see where he is coming from. You could hear the frustration in his voice. You could feel the disgust he had for some of his teammates. It was one of the best Cardinals radio shows I've heard.

Not questioning his work ethic I just found the play against the Raiders to be bizarre. He'd been torched all day by Moss, 1 td, one dropped TD, time after time Moss was wide open on 3rd down, he'd already dropped 3. Maybe Rolle was happy because they had to punt but instead of acting like yeah I got lucky they have to punt, it was like "look at me, I'm primetime 2." It was really weird. I know several folks on the game thread that day made the same comment what the hell is he doing he was beaten badly Moss just dropped the ball, just be thankful and walk off the field don't show the guy up when you did nothing.

Just seemed like the type of thing that on a winning team other guys would jump on the guy for.

Point taken, I didn't hear the comments but I'll try to check the tape online.

Again I am glad Bertrand said something, I just would have liked for it to have been said to the team first but maybe he wanted to and guys were in such a hurry to get on their break that he couldn't?

Today's article is real evidence as to what's happened this year. No BS, just straight from the gut. Attitude and chemistry, that not only can destroy the Cards, it can destroy ANY excellent team in the NFL.
Who's fault is it? That's a good question.

Head Coach, under the Cards system this is probably where it lies. You could fire Green for three reasons, oh there's others but these three will do.
1.Not winning on the road.
2.Players attitude.
3.Chemistry.

Owners, probably not. But, in the last few weeks several people have wanted a GM, and the reason is so the family can stay out of the business and let a ," Football Genuis run operations". It has some merit but GM's are like skating on thin ice at best. I think M. Bidwill's should not stay out of the way, he should be more involved. Today's article is a perfect example, Jerry Jones and the likes would have there coaches head about now. They would want to know why the hell this is in today's paper and if it's true why the sh.. didn't you tell me. The Bidwill's should be much more approachable to their players and coaches and after today I hope that happens.

BOTTOM LINE: After reading the ,"Article" Denny Green would be FIRED by sundown, today.

P.S. Win or loose I have always thought by and large the Cards have had classy players and thru the Bidwill family they have weeded out those,"chemistry", players. Denny Green has brought too many bad elements into this team. It's time for it to stop.

Barry is a real pro. He is tired with playing with guys that don't get that. I think we need to clean house at the player level too.

Sad thing is, Berry is on the downside of his career, he is a guy I would like to keep.

I don't care who the coach is; a team that shows effort and performance for Monday Night but looks 3/4-speed on Sunday's road-game is about players.

THAT is the elephant in the room no one is talking about.

That certainly would be one of my top choices. I know this won't be popular, but A. Wilson flies around trying to knock-out people but does he try to improve his technique in tackling and pass defense. My point is I see alot of players look up to AW and ,"want to be just like him" and to be honest, making gigantic misses on tackles and not being able to cover a 325 lb. lineman yet alone a wide receiver for gosh sakes would not be my look up to guy. I see Huff and many others making these stupid tackles, and to me there coming stright out of AW's camp. It's not like it's not fixable, in this situation, Pendergast meets with AW and tells him that too many of these players respect him and he has to show some resposnibilty for this leadership and going around head hunting is not the smartest football. AW has all the tools to be a great Safety, it's time he plays up to his abilities.

I have a simple question to ask. Isn't this the very same thing that happened in Green's last season in Minnesota. Did that team not have a complete meltdown?

Sort of if you're referring to Steussie publicly calling out Green for NOT disciplining Randy Moss and letting Moss laugh it up on the sidelines as they got blown out in the playoffs(I think Moss left the field early too or something like that). Steussie complained about it, Green then had a drawn out salary battle with Steussie(he was the GM too) trying to get him to take a paycut. Steussie eventually relented, took the paycut, and then was cut. The rumor then was that Hargrave overheard Steussie badmouthing Green, told Green, and Green cut Steussie.

The FB has been a dying position the last few years with all the teams running spread and one back formations. Most teams have two real FBs only if the second one is good on special teams.

We don't have any "real" FBs. Femi is more like a slow HB that can block a little. Schable is more like a marginal DE...wait, that's exactly what he is.

As has been pointed out over and over, he had a FB (despite any shortcomings you might want to fault him for), and we cut him.

You're preaching to the choir when it comes to our FB situation. I agree that we don't have a real FB. I was just pointing out that what Dallas and ourselves are doing at FB as far as depth really isn't very strange.

I would give anything to know the names of the "several players" whose attitudes, according to Berry, suck.

Seriously I would put money towards a bribe for Berry to sell out his teammates.

Sorry, but I am a Cardinals fan, and I have lots of pent up aggression and there is a bunch of spoiled brat millionaire screwing up the works I want to know who they are so I can reign bad vibes, and harhness towards them.

Man, this makes me SO F'N MAD to hear that at least 7 players can give a damn about what is happening here.

Wasnt Pace quoted as saying that he was going home for the week and thinking about football was harmful to your health or something like that?

Sorry Russ but you are a little off on this.
Steussie refused to take a pay cut and became a free agent. Cards were in cap hell because Jeff Diamond who was gm before Green put them there.(he did the same later with the Titans) Denny had no choice but to cut many of the long time vets like Steussie, Randal McDaniel & John Randle. Steussie became critical after he was let go. This was the year that Korey Stringer died in training camp. The team had lost its two all pro book ends, Culpepper got hurt during the season and the team took a nose dive.

In 42 yrs, I have never seen a player call his team out like that unless the HC was gone at the end of the season. By calling out the players, you call out the HC that has them. IMO, I think this is the most telling sign that the team has quit on Denny Green. This is first evidence that anyone aside from us koolaid drinkers realize Denny has to go. Its sad, in a way, that it has come to player revolt. But, the Cardianls have to be rebuilt.

People who live in glass houses, should not throw stones.

Berry needs to shut his pie-hole and play better, Calling out people on their job performance/attitude, when you yourself are sucking as much as anyone.. is just laughable.

Good points. I hate to say it, but I think either Chike is playing hurt or he may simply not be that good. Hopefully he has not become content with collecting 5 mil. a year on a losing team. I loved what I saw last year from Chike, but this year not so much.
