Burgerfi. This place is on Val Vista in Mesa and it's fantastic! The Urban Style fries are awesome!

Wendy my sister highly reccomends their veggiburger, says it's the best she's ever had. I'm still taking her word for it. :p

http://burgerfi.com/

There is also a mom and pop place on Lindsay called Giant Hamburgers that is also really good. :)

I love me some fatburger but IMO that is a top commercial place, not a top overall place. Better burgers out there if you make the trek to try them.

The only Fat burger I know around is in Wild Horse Pass casino. Are there others around the valley?

The Shake Shack is opening 2 locations in the valley in 2016. I think it's tough to truly differentiate a great burger from other worthy creations... Can definitely tell you when I've had a really bad burger. But, to pick the best above all the rest? Just too hard. The Shake Shack will instantly rise to the top of everyone's list however...
And for what it's worth, here in the valley, I don't think it's possible to beat Deluxe Burger... ;)

there is one on Mill just north of university on the west side. There is also one by metrocenter on Peoria.

Get it with a fried egg on top. Heavenly.

The one on Peoria by Metrocenter closed, as did the one at Stapley & the 60. I'm afraid they're in trouble. :(

Chuckbox always gets brought up and I have to say I heard about that place for YEARS and when I finally tried it I wasn't even remotely impressed. It was a decent burger, forsure, but nothing special. Probably one of those things that was built up too much.

What's with all these restaurants now are putting stuff IN the burger??? I dont like it at all. I dont want cheese or peppers or onions or anything cooked into my burger, mixed in with the ground beef. Yuck. I dont know why we Americans are always like trying to create an ALL IN ONE food lol. Separate ingredients is not a crime Murica!!!!

I've always wanted to try White Castle. Like Harold and Kumar. I think there used to be White Castles in Phx, but that was a little before my time. Somebody open one so I can get really high and try it once! lol

White Castle is now in Vegas. You can get something close at Chicago Hamburger Company at 38th st & Indian school. Love their sliders, been going there since the 80's

Coincidently Rehab is one of the 5 options for Best of Phoenix this year. They are actually across multiple catagories including their Wings, which I have not had.

http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/restaurants/diablo-burger-to-open-location-in-phoenix-7619973

Diablo Burger, an “Arizona local foods-based burger joint” that currently has locations in Flagstaff and Tucson, will open a restaurant in Phoenix. That's right, local food enthusiasts. It's time to rejoice.

advertisement

The news of the Phoenix restaurant comes from the Diablo Burger website, which states nothing more than that a Phoenix restaurant is "coming soon." The two other Diablo Burger restaurants are located at 120 N. Leroux Street in Flagstaff and 312 E. Congress Street in Tucson.

Founded by Derrick Widmark six years ago, Diablo Burger's claim to fame is that the restaurants use 100 percent local, grass-fed, open range-raised, antibiotic-free, and growth-hormone-free beef. The meat comes from the ranches of the Diablo Trust, whose job it is to ensure the long-term economic, social, and ecological sustainability of the Diablo Trust land area.

Red Robin is one of the great places I like going. I know its a franchise but man love their burgers. I will have to try out the ZinBurger and the Stand, but I can't stand seeing images of cows everywhere when I am eating them.

I grew up on White Castles in NY. Some of the supermarkets out here carry them frozen, but I don't remember which.

In the past i've seen them at Frys and Walmart. Never bought one before. Never had a White Castle burger before but I've also never been to a city where they were popular.

You can get them frozen at Walgreens. Actually one of the better frozen foods.
