(Then again, you guys have mentioned THEY LIVE, so anything's possible)

Hey now - THEY LIVE is a classic poly-scif-fi flick - revolutionary. A political science fiction movie - campy yeah, but entertaining with an actual message. The entire seuquence where Roddy first reralzies what is going on is priceless - the line he rips off like numbers being taken at the DMV are some of the best ever written.

One of my fave "funny" fight scenes is from Office Space.. when the guys went and beat the crap out of the copy machine. Poor copy machine didn't even have a chance...

I have 2,
The Story of Ricky, RIKI-OH-the scene with the fat guy, but all are worthy to be nomiated

And my all time favorite, Wing Chun, the scene where Michelle Yeoh (from Crouching Tiger and Tomorrow Never Dies) fight the bad guy on the spear-If you liked Crouching Tiger, this is way better, because it is funny as well as action packed, plu Michelle Yeoh is younger and much better.

Throw off the gloves, as well as the crutches... and wheelchair. It's an all out slugfest to end all slugfests.

I’m going to stick with the original spirit of this thread and stick too just fight scenes rather than epic battle scenes. Battle scenes are a whole other topic in my mind.

Since I’m late to the party on this thread I’ll try to avoid some of the fight scenes already mentioned in this thread even though some of my faves have already been posted. So here are some great one on one or more small scale fight scenes I don’t think were mentioned.

Excalibur – Arthur VS. Sir Lancelot (who wouldn’t allow Arthur to cross the bridge)
Predator - Arnold VS. Alien
Aliens – Ripley VS. Mother Alien (when Ripley gets in the mechanized forklift)
Shane – Shane VS. Cattle Ranchers in bar (pretty gritty fist fight for an old classic western)
Gladiator – Maximus VS. Gladiator (Imposing warrior behind silver mask and lions)
Raiders of the Lost Ark – Indy VS. Giant Swordsman (Swordsman shows off his skills. Indy shrugs and shoots him. The fight never happens)
Any Which Way You Can and Any Which Way But Loose – Clint Eastwood VS. whoever.
Highlander – Pick just about any sword fight.
Enter the Dragon – Bruce Lee VS. the evil bad guy
Terminator 2 – T100 VS. T1000
Superman 2 – Superman VS. 3 criminals from Krypton in Metropolis
The Quick and Dead – Not a great movie overall but very original film techniques from gun fights from director Sam Rami
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly – the final gun fight.
Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome – 2 men enter one man leave.
