Can the Suns get Lue out of the Hawks trade? I'm not sure about the salary issues.

Edit: Anthony Johnson wouldn't be bad either. There will probably be others floating out there.

We can kiss the lottery goodbye. The Hawks will be a playoff team.

Could very well be unless their bad karma catches up with them. Right now I'm wanting the Suns to be looking at these trade fillers for a player that can help them.

OT:

is there a possibility that Artest might get traded to the Spurs?

Never heard of this, but sounds weird to me, they have Bowen, do they need another defensive stopper?

Bibby was a great player, but his form is not good at all after returning from injury. It is also interesting that the Hawks trade so many players for him. Could it hurt their depth?

Atlanta front office is well known for making stupid decision, we'll see how this one turns out. I wouldn't worry about our pick.

Great trade for the Hawks - they gave up nothing of value. They'll make the playoffs in the weak East.

This is why it is important NOT to sell draft picks. It gives you pieces to trade to teams that are willing to dump good players to rebuild.

I was always kind of hoping Bibby would end up a Sun and succeeding Nash, since he has the closest style to Nash in the NBA, imho. Sacramento is just trash now. That franchise is going down the crapper fast. I can't believe they used to be good.

more notable non-top 5 picks:

Joe Johnson (10th)
Mehmet Okur (38th)
Michael Redd (43rd)
Caron Butler (10th)
Amare (9th)
David West (18th)
Josh Howard (29th)
Deng (7th)
Iguodala (9th)
Josh smith (17th)
J.R smith (18th)
Delonte West (24th)
Kevin Martin (26th)
Varejao (30th)
Duhon (38th)
Bynum (10th)
Granger (17th)
Maxiell (26th)
Monta Ellis (40th)
Turiaf (37th)
Roy (6th)
Gay (8th)
Farmar (26th)
Daniel Gibson (42nd)
Millsap (47th)

so you see, with a decent scouting crew you can get quality players without having a top 5 pick. in many cases, you can get something outside of the top 10.
Let's not forget a couple of mid-round gems in the 1996 draft:
Kobe Bryant - 13th pick
Steve Nash - 15th pick
