I didn't like it much, personally. Our team sucks, so taking potshots at fans isn't really doing any good, nor is it good journalism. Point the finger where it should be pointed--at BASK and the players.
I agree. I dont disagree with the basic sentiment, but the timing is just ill advised and blatantly antagonistic, and that's simply because Dickley is such a tool. I'm just impressed that he got through that whole article without plugging his cover band.
I have no issue whatsoever about him being a Chicago fan. It's good to have non-homer journalists. I actually used to like Bickley I thought he was a good writer, till he hit his mid life crisis.... The guy just thinks he is soooooo freakin cool. He cant get through a sentence without dropping a name, talk about what he was drinking and who with. He's always going to get a beer with someone. It's just constant to the point where you're like; dude, have you ever considered AA or are you just being a douche on the radio? I get desperate sometimes and put on their show because I'm constantly driving around, but I just cant handle him. He is the quintessential Scottsdale coololdwhitedude... It's constant name dropping, my band my band, I was drinking in scottsdale last night,,, I was drinking at Derrrrrr last night... lol He drives me crazy.
Like Stout said; he could spend his time doing what we are trying to do on this board... Analyze the team, figure out what is wrong. Maybe use his Journalist inside access to give us some insight as to where this team is at going into the bye week, but no, instead he writes and in-depth article about how crappy most Arizona fans are. Like I said, I dont even necessarily disagree with him, but it's JUST LIKE BICKLEY to take this opportunity to talk down to the fans. Kickem while they're down!
